Default Topless waitresses in take-away shop

I'm horrified basically they want to provide a peep show for tradesmen... That's ridiculous! On so many levels! Why not put some porn on tv while they eat or have a back room for a quickie on the go!
There's so much scum around as it is does it really need to be in a take away shop?
If they're doing it tough improve your product, if you make the best food why would they go elsewhere?

Here's a thought. What if there are *gasp* women tradies, how do you think they would feel knowing some or many of their colleagues have just come back from a take away that puts boobs on display for men to ogle. Do you think that would make for a comfortable working environment. What about the young blokes. Constructions sites are NOTORIOUS for bully tactics on young apprentices - it wouldn't me ridiculous to think that the younger men would be forced to go otherwise they might be considered 'fags'. Then there's the assumption that the majority of tradies are heterosexual neanderthals who will buy food from a particular take-away because there are tits on display.

The fact that's it's next to a school is virtually immaterial to me. It shouldn't happen in a respectful workplace, regardless of where that is.

I think it‘s sad that it‘s seen as so shameful to be naked that so many women are up in arms about it. They‘re boobs. This isn‘t a defence. It‘s what they are. They are there and society has made it so shameful to see them, that it‘s now taboo and everyone wants to see them.
There's nothing wrong with nudity, but in this instance they (the take away owner) are the very ones continuing to sexualise boobs. There's a world of difference between an artistic nude photo and a porn photo. One of the most fantastic photo shoots I have seen was of the Australian Olympic squad in 1996 (I think) who did a photo shoot that highlighted their fantastic physiques.

I still think its wrong that some women have no problem with male strippers/exotic dancers for hens nights/girls nights out, topless waiters for charity fundraisers, firefighters calendars, going to the beach for a general look at the eye candy, rewatching that scene in Australia where Hugh Jackman pours that bucket of water over himself 20 times, buy that issue of Cosmo featuring '20 hot shirtless men you'd want in bed with you', posts 'hot men 4 yummy mummies' pics on fb, but get all angsty and morally uptight the minute a female chooses to get the girls out to make a bit of cash. Double standards?
Personally I'm not keen on male strippers et al. I'm not denying I find an attractive male physique, well, attractive and nice eye candy but exploitative images creep me out. I also think the intent and mind of women who ogle men (as in strippers etc) is different to when men ogle women (as in strippers).

Agree - Michelangelo's David is a breathtaking masterpiece of artwork. But a guy in nothing but an apron serving coffee at a cafe for 'above award wages' is kinda insulting and I persoanlly would feel embarassed for the guy.

It's because women are aroused with their minds and men with their eyes.

Seriously maccas is making a fortune and it's not because tits are out but because the product is cheap!!!!! $12 for a burger what a joke!!!!!!! Hate to see the price of a toasted sandwich or a bottle of water which the other day I payed $4.50 for when I could buy the same in bulk for 50c per bottle seriously prices down would equal more customers therefore more sales. I think that the situation is stupid and still poses a hazard in the workplace. I'm not a fan of ppl using "attractive" people to bring in business and doesn't say much for people if they are choosing to go there because of the "attractive" people lmao it sounds pretty simple minded to me.

I dont have a problem with the concept at all. In fact I think it will certainly bring in quite a lot of profit for the owners.

What doesn't sit right with me is that its opposite a school. If it was in some back street industrial type area, that would be better IMO.

Sorry to derail for a moment but maccas is cheap because their produce is absolute cr@p! I dont know how anyone can eat there

I work at a pretty 'famous' burger joint in Perth and our burgers are $7 - 13 each. People come from all over to eat there and business is roaring purely because we use good produce but good produce doesnt cheap!

It's not about the nudity it's about the intent. The intent is to elicit male attention via boobs to get more business. To me, that's just shameful and something I wish women could move on from. The fact that you can make $350 for getting your tits out for a few hours speaks volumes about where a woman's worth is placed.

It's not about nudity in itself. A cafe with a beautiful nude artwork is fine because it's not for sex. Topless waitresses in a takeaway joint is about nothing more than sex.

But we live in Australia, a free country where we have choices. The takeaway shop has made a choice (a perplexing one to me) to have topless waitresses. Patrons have a choice to buy from there. The woman have a choice to serve food with their tops off.
Talk about work place peer pressure all you want but I know my DH and I don't give a sh$t about what other people think and live our own lives because that is our choice.

Perhaps some of us believe that hte take-away shop shouldn't have the choice to offer such a service during daylight hours and opposite a school.

Or, perhaps some of us simply like the right to debate about their choice being right or wrong.
