Default When did YOU first eat solids?

I'm interested in when you (not your babies) first ate solids. I was talking to my MIL the other day about how it seems the advice is changing these days on when to introduce solids (ie start between 4-6m, rather than strictly waiting till 6m, in order to prevent food allergies), and she said back when her boys (inc. my DH) were babies in the early & mid 70s they were told to start at 4m. Yet in the late 70s when I was born, my mum was told to start at 6m.

So, I'm just curious as to when you started solids - and do you have any food allergies?

I was born in 1982 and I was given solids at 3 months which apparently was the norm then.

Dairy and eggs can sometimes bother my stomach, but I'm not allergic to anything.

I started both my bubs before 6 months (much to my mother's disgust, LOL)... Mum keeps 'reminding' me that I didn't start solids until 8 months (exclusively BF) as I just wasn't interested. This was 30 years ago and I have no food allergies other than prawns, which I ate until I was 15 and then had a very bad reaction to them, so have not eaten them since, do not want to relive that experience, thank you!

Apparently I started at around 6 months but I really wanted to, mum says I was a guts! And no i have no food allergies and I was bottle fed.
DH started super early at barely 4 months with biscuits crushed in his bottle milk, MIL also said her mum would give him cows milk :-0 he does have all kinds of allergies, he was bottle fed too.

I was born 1980 and mum says she started at 3 months. Which seems so early I can't imagine giving my 3 month old bub solids!

Wow - my MIL was saying she recalled something about being told it was ok to start solids at 3m back in the 70s but I thought she was talking crazy talk!
