Default Tingling/numbness in my hands is keeping me up at night:(

Okay, so I've never had tingling in my hands when I sleep until this pregnancy. It started a few weeks ago and has gotten progressively worse. Last night, the tingling got to the point of painful and just rolling over to my other side isn't helping

Do any of you get this? What do you do to stop/calm the tingles?

Sounds like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I had it during my pregnancy with DD2.
See your GP, they will be able to help you with a wrist splint.
I found panadol and not using my wrist too much (playing games on phone seemed to be the biggest cause for me) worked.

    Yep, sounds like carpal tunnel.
I got a wrist splint and found putting a warm wheatbag on it when it got tingly really helped. Good luck, CT sucks!

My ob recommended I take some panadine for the pain/tingling/numbness especially at night time..so far it's helped and I'm now able to get some sleep!

Thanks guys After doing some Googling, I'm thinking it probably is nerve issues b/c it only starts in the hand of whichever arm I'm sleeping on. I read that all the relaxin in our bodies can make our shoulder joints shift, putting pressure on the veins that carry blood to the hands. It feels like that's probably what it is.

I might try some panadeine tonight - my doc had told me to take some for migraines earlier in the pregnancy, so I've got a little left. Hopefully that works

    Thanks!!

Same for me - and OP it would only happen to me at night on the arm I was sleeping on too. I found the wrist splints (from chemist) worked a treat. It then disappeared as soon as DS was born.

Oh really? I didn't think CP came on the side you were sleeping on... Maybe it could be CP then. I suppose I'll have a look at the chemist for the splints today and try them out.

    Thanks!!!
