Default What is the strangest thing you have ever found in you food?

So I just made a chicken salad using a pre packaged salad (mixed lettuce leaves) I sit down to eat it and find a small lump of charcol approx the size of a 20c coin.

I was so grossed out, DH was laughing because this has happened to us a few times now.
1st one was maggotts in a store bought quiche I assumed it was rice until they started moving yuk! and the second one was mouse poo in the bottom of DH's redrooster chips (found once he finished eating them ha ha)
A friend of ours ordered ceasar salad in a cafe once and it had a big slug on a leaf of lettuce.

So It got me thinking what other hubbers have discovered in food ?

I bought a slice of quiche last year from the deli next door to work and started eating it, when I got closer to the crust I noticed it was all green and mouldy! I literally vomited and took it back!

I had pavlova at sizzlers once and found a nail (as in a nail clipping from someone's finger!) made me want to puke! Naturally I found it in my mouth about half way through my dessert. Never been back. Thinking about it gives my shivers. Yuck

I found a chicken head in the cavity of a chicken. I was preparing it at work. I worked at red rooster and before you salt the chickens you had to check that they were empty. And yep I found a chicken head. Glad I always checked the chickens (some never do) because I would have hated to have to deal with a customer that had found a chickens head in their roast chicken.

I bought a lovely mixed salad once from a nice salad bar, and after 3 or 4 bites I uncovered one of those big hairy butterfly-sized moths. He was perfectly placed, just sitting there looking at me with his big buggy eyes

I was once given a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolate - I ate half of one and was looking at the other half and what I presumed was a string of caramel or something, when it moved and I realised it was a worm! The whole box was infested.

I once found a couple of staples in a box of takeaway gado gado I was eating.

I can't really think of much apart from hubby eating his KFC burger and suddenly crunching on a bag tie (like the ones you use for your bread) .

Oh and i've been eating a burger and found a bandaid

perhaps we should just avoid burgers lol
