Default To those who have fallen pregnant after trying for ages.............

I think what others have said about stress is what happened with DF & I. We'd been trying on & off for four years without any results. We'd just gotten some referrals to fertility specialists and I'd started to accept that DS was likely to be an only child and make plans for when he started school.

Two months later, I was pregnant.

We tried for 3 years for our 2nd and then we figured it just wasn't going to happen and we should be happy with our boy. Started giving away all my baby gear - bam - pregnant!

For our 3rd we didnt "try" for a baby & just left it to the universe - it took 3 years. I've just had an ectopic with our 4th using the universe method. Everyone tells you to relax which is sooo annoying but I think it actually works

It took us a year to fall pregnant with DD1 - the month I got BFP I'd been charging temps, using OPKs, having weekly acupuncture (I swear by it!), stopped alcohol and caffeine, was exercising well etc - soooo

... So not taking the relaxed approach but the healthy, precise, throw everything at it approach

I assumed it would be similar the next time but here I am 29 weeks pregnant! We did nothing by the book, weren't even really thinking about another bubba just yet and ... Yeah, who knew?!

Good luck - I was ready to punch people in the face when they said to relax! It is easier said than done! But maybe think about really looking after yourself and what would be relaxing for you.

After conceiving our first two very easily it came a shock to us having to ttc. It took almost 3 years to have baby number 3. I had resolved to the fact I'd only be a mum to 2 and gave up trying. Several months later I started craving a particular food and I was 3 w preg. 4 month old little girl. I think the stress/pressure of actually ttc held us back a lot. Plus irregular cycle made tracking my ovulation difficult.

    Good luck!
