    Default My DD fell :(

My god you poor thing. That would've been so scary!

She still seems completely normal over an hour later. Thank ****!

Oh no, you poor thing! I'm glad she's ok but personally I'd still take her to the hospy. My friends mom was in a car crash recently. Nothing major...she just carried on with life. The next day she was in hospital getting brain surgery due to a bleed caused by the car accident!

Pretty sure hospital won't do anything except monitor for 24hrs unless there are other symptoms. So it's best just to keep an eye out yourself! Drowsiness, lethargic, not herself, etc etc.

Kids are pretty tough. DS who is older (22 months) ran away from me when I got him out of the bath last night and his feet slipped out form under him and he landed on his head. Hard.
It happens. You're only a bad mum if you don't care.

    huge ((hugs))

for what it's worth, it happens to everyone. i still vividly remember when my son fell off the bed 10 years ago. i was determined to not let it happen again with my 11mo and guess what? she was too quick....
    fell off the bed too.

but kids are very, very resilient. they cry, you hug them, within minutes they are distracted with something else (all the while we feel terrible).
if she isn't sleepy, crying in pain, acting unusual then i'm sure she is fine.

and totally agree with happygrl - you are only a bad mum if you don't care.

what a perfect post I agree with everything written ..

My boys still often fall at 4 and 6 .. when they were little I would often cry with them (probably more guilt than anything else .. lol) - accidents happen .. google symptoms in concussion children .. and the list will pop up .. as long as she is happy and perky (even with the googy egg on her head) all should be fine ..

just monitor her .. ring 13 health if you're worried .. and hug her lots

Thanks so much ladies. To prevent any more falls of this type we're dropping my bed off the frame this weekend. I bawled my eyes out when it happened cause I feared the worst. I know she's going to have accidents once she's up and about but I'd prefer ones that aren't my fault.
