In all seriousness, those sugar packets are annoying with kids.

True. Free packets of sugar and kids = trouble no matter which way you look at it.

I move them off the table, or off to the side where my toddler can't reach them or risk wasting my whole coffee time guarding them and playing distract-the-toddler from the thing he knows he shouldn't have. They are kid-magnets.

Too true, all she did (according to OP) was slam things down on the table, huff and puff and roll her eyes at her. Far better than speaking rudely. So glad that she dealt with the customers in such a great way.

Exactly, glad you've regained your ability to read.

I worked for a few years at a cafe that also sold high end fashion and expensive housewares. The poor parents would spend their whole time trying to keep their children away from the $300 glass paper weight, or $500 african feather headress that was strategically placed next to the table by the store dresser that had never had children in his life.

You really are a firecracker today Blissed. Why do I get the feeling that you may have been a rude waitress at one time?

    I've never been a waitress.

I just find poor reading comprehension very irritating.

I also find entitled parents irritating. I have little patience with others children and I'd be a horrific waitress if I had to deal with peoples kids making a mess all day.

Entitled parents? Seriously? You seem to have lost some of your reading comprehension skills, cause I have not read anywhere that the OP has a feeling of entitlement because he has a child

I'm sure this is supposed to be insulting. But I have to say, it didn't work. Regardless of if she said something or rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed. It was just plain rude. Just like you
