    Default How rude!!!

After 8 pages I'm sure it's been established that the waitress was rude and kids can be annoying.

And I don't believe it is the same as any other stranger we interact with, we go to cafes for the customer service, last I checked no one would be happy parting with money to be treated like dirt. Of course everyone has bad days, but there are better ways to deal with them than get angry about spilt sugar.
Again, not talking specifically about the OP and the spilt sugar.

For most people, the primary reason to go to a café is to get food that they don’t have to make themselves, it’s not for the social interaction with the waiting staff. Of course we like to be treated nicely whilst we order and eat our meals (just like at any other time), but it is not what we are paying for.

We are going to have to agree to disagree. Whilst I agree, primarily you aren't there to get chatty to the wait staff, I have a big issue with parting with money while someone is being rude to me. But I can also see where you are coming from.

I haven't commented in this thread but I've been following it and I don't know how it got so out of control?! The OP was having a vent... I have seen countless threads made by different posters having a vent about much less, and there has never been an issue? Let her have a vent, we all need to do it from time to time.
I agree, the way AB was ganged up on for having a differing opinion is disgusting.

As for how did the thread get out of control? It was nothing to do with the OP, it was the people who came in guns blazing with outrage over the huffy waitress.
