Yes, I agree that common courtesy should have nothing to do with whether you are a paying customer or in the 'service industry'. It is no worse for a waitress to not be all bubbly and friendly than it is for any other stranger that you have to interact with.

I wasn't actually saying she was, just being a little cheeky.

My point was that it wasn't worth all the nastiness that followed from either side. Nor will we ever know what actually transpired, one side of a story is all that we have been given.

I really do think we need a specific area for venting, because this seems to happen a lot.

Ha, don't worry about it AB - all part of the fun! Although I might be a triffle offended if I was called old hag (that would be a sore point for me).

Area for venting is a good idea, and one for brags too. And maybe a 'what do you think?' kind of section, too (where we would actually be allowed to debate).

Bwahahaha. Fortunately I know that smug little youngens age too, so I'm not bothered.

Wow there is some serious cranky pants wearing happening in here.OP yeah I'd expect better service than that. just one of the things she did I'd let it go but combined, she's hardly being professional. As far as all of the 'she was probably having a hard day and was unable to leave her emotions at the door' stuff well I eo agree with that...no one is ever happy 100% of the time and it can be hard to hide. However

I wish I could bake a cake full of smiles and rainbows and everyone would eat and be happy! As long as no crumbs were left behind, of course.
