Default Do you get up before the kids to do chores?

My kids are very involved in the chores. Absolutely. It's just a necessity for me to get up for the 8
Months I work. The school kids are out the door by 7.15am and I have to work until 6pm (kids come with me). There's just not enough hours in the day. Lunches and uniforms are always done the night before but there's always stacks to do anyway

    No - never.

A herd of wild horses would not be able to drag me out of bed a moment before I really had to get up.

Same as why I would never get up early to go to the gym - why exercise when you can sleep??

Not a chance! The house is always presentable before I go to bed. The children get up early enough as it is!

No way...sleep is way more important and I get enough done during the day to keep on top of things. After years of considerably stuffed sleep, i need rest or i will go nuts.

Before DD i was often up first at about 7.30am ish...and he would sleep till 8am (once or twice even to 9 ) so i would potter and have some quiet brekky and stuff...but housework would have woken him!

I sometimes do a 30 minute housework session after they go to bed though so the house is nice in the morning...but that is sometimes...not always lol

Only days you will find me up before DS is when I have work.

This. And I'll also add Hell no! And DS's last feed for the night is 11pm. So I would be getting less than 6 hours if I woke up before them. Bah

I wish! I sleep too late/waste time in bed on my days off, which I wish I didn't do. I would love to get up early and clean

That's so sweet of him! You are so pampered.

I am always amazed and envious of people who can stay asleep in bed while others have woken up already. I wish I can do that but I wake up really easily and early...hardly a sleep-in person. The only time I slept in till latest 9ish am was when I was too sick from morning sickness in my first trimester.

And yes, I love the idea of doing chores before going to bed. I clean the floor the night before as mornings are usually really busy time.

DS always wakes up half an hour or even one hour before me (about 7am) and he has been trained to clear the dishwasher if there is a wash the night before. He also makes his bed, get changed and feed the dog.

Nope, ds sleeps in our bed and if I get up before him he'll wake no more than 15 minutes later anyway. And dh is noisy at 4am when he gets up for work so ds starts stirring early.
