Default Foods to avoid with reflux baby

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me what foods to avoid feeding my 6.5 month old DD with silent reflux.

She's been on solids since 4 months and she's been really upset lately when I put her down to sleep and I'm not sure if it's something she's eating.

I give her the raffertys garden, Heinz simple and macro foods organic satchets.

Last night she had a bolognaise pasta one and this morning she had pear and apricot.

She's been hard to burp the last 48 hours and wakes up sounding all blocked up. The last few days too sometimes I have burped her, the milk has also been coming out of her nose.

    Any tips!?

I haven't had any issues with solids and they have helped clear up DD's reflux, but I don't give her anything acidic either... we haven't done citrus or raw tomato yet and I cook all the acidity out of our bolognaise (DH gets reflux too so been doing thus for a while now). I find the sachets can be a little tart and acidic sometimes (especially the apricot and peach rafferties ones) and DD will only eat Macro if we're out and about.
I don't know about the burping DD now mostly does this herself cos she wont sit still but she has always (and still does) sounded congested especially towards the end of the day. She's always been a puker though.

How did you cook out the acidity in the bolognaise?

If they have something that upsets them does anyone know how long it takes for that food to leave the system and stop upsetting them?

My DD had reflux as a baby and my advice would be to avoid anything acidic or citrus especially at night and anything with dairy or dairy products

We slow cook the bolognaise, add the tomato paste with the onions and garlic to cook out the rawness, then meat, tinned tomatoes, herbs etc. Cook in to take the rawness out of the tomatoes and then add a fair bit of water... about 3/4 tin for every tin of tomatoes and simmer down until the sauce is sitting level with the meat. The sauce goes quite fragrant and 'meaty' and the meat goes very small and tender, perfect for a quick blitz with some soup pasta. It usually takes two to three hours.
