    Default Doula Jobs

I have been thinking about doing training in becoming a doula.
But was wondering about how to get jobs?
Do hospitals hire doula? Or if you are a doula are you self employed?
I'm worried about putting all my effort into training and not finding work.
    Advise please

Also where to study? How long was the course? How much prac do you do?

Any info on becoming a doula would be great

i posted a reply which included a link to another parenting website, which i've just discovered is against the rules so the mods have removed it for me

What i would suggest is you do a quick google search and you should be able to come across the courses offered for doulas in Australia, and also stories of other people's journey to become doulas. Good luck!

Thanks for a reply. I did a google and found a couple of courses which is great.

But was wondering about getting a job?? Do hospitals have positions for doula or is a doula more self employed?
What are the fees doulas charge?

Definitely self employed - the expecting parents hire them. No idea about fees.
