Default HELP!!! dbl middle name vs maybe not cool old school name??!

I have, but I'm not sold on it... I like Georgie (which is very girly.. Dh thinks I just add 'ee' to the end of all names lol!).

My other option that I would love to convince dh to use, but he just wont is: Smith David ... Smith is his pops surname and mums maiden name, ds has my maiden name as his mn and his pop only had girls. DH just isn't on
    board with it though!

I really dislike dbl middle names but I think in this situation I would go with that choice. Just really not a fan of David/Davey. Good luck with your choice!

Default HELP!!! dbl middle name vs maybe not cool old school name??!

Well I have two middle names along with a three syllable first name. So a mouthful.
I don't hate it, as an adult most forms only allow my first middle name (too long otherwise). My names are in memory of my grandmother and a family friend who was special to my parents who passes away. They are old fashioned but special.
So I guess what I'm saying is that I rarely use my middle names (like most people) but that I have these special names that meant something to my parents... So... If you want to use them go for it. They will mean something to your son one day!!
Sorry about your grandfather too. I think using the names are special, sound lovely and you should do what you and your DH feel is right, no matter anyone else's opinions.

Lucas David George is a very strong name, sounds great. I prefer it to Davey.

Sorry for the loss of your grandfather, I'm sure he'd be honored that your LO will have his name.

Default HELP!!! dbl middle name vs maybe not cool old school name??!

I don't really have an opinion on the names but for what it's worth, I'm a teacher, and the trend that I see at my school is boys in particular seem to have two middle names, and they are generally named for their grandfather/s with 'old fashioned' meaningful names. It's quite normal here. As an example, we have a boy with Ronald Charles, another with Frederick David, Robert Lucas, Darryl Graham, Ian etc. Personally, I have a soft spot for names with a family meaning...

Lucas David George is nice. If I had another baby and it was a boy I intend on using my grandfathers name as a first name, as we were very close, and both of DH's grandfathers' names as middle names.
