Default What do you think about this from a teen?

My step daughter has moved in with us . She is 14 in 2 months. Things are going quite well. Just a few hiccups. I check her Facebook page a couple times a week. I see she puts her job as working at the local prostitute joint here and smoking weed. We've made her change it of course and explained why. Also a status is about a girl she knows with aids and she is pretty much putting this girl down. She thinks it's funny. I don't get how it is funny at all and made her delete it too. We've banned her from the computer for this week as she's shown she is not very responsible on it.

It's very concerning, and the status about the girl is bullying. I would be keeping a very, very close eye.

I would be very concerned and I'd be going another step further and closing her Facebook account I think.

This. I would also make her write an apology to the poor girl.

This...but not before making her message the poor girl with aids to apologise.

Be mindful when she gains her computer privileges back you can have it set so certain people cannot see certain things. Therefore if you are checking her page through your own she can block you from seeing certain post. Perhaps enforce a rule that you check through her fb at random!! Goodluck

I don't think I'd MAKE her write an apology, I'd encourage her to, but I would want it to be genuine. Making her do it IMO wouldn't be genuine, unless she wanted to and saw that her words/actions were wrong.

We thought about that but know she'll make an account behind our back at a friends house then we can't even keep an eye on it. The girls name is not mentioned thankfully but it wouldn't take long for others to work it out. Dh ****es me off though as he turns a blind eye and pays no attention til i tell him or show him
