I like Cucumber crocodiles. Cut a wedge out for a mouth, toothpick legs, and toothpicks down the back with cocktail sausages on them. Serve with a little dipping bowl of sauce.

And cocktail spring rolls always go down a treat with kids and adults.

    Default Birthday Party Food Ideas...

Skinless frankfurts - not really healthy but kids love them and they are quick and easy

Steggles Tempura nuggets - Come in dinosour shapes and fairy shapes - an absolute hit with the kids

    Fairy bread
Vegimite sandwiches cut into shapes using cookie cutters
    Colored popcorn
    Plain flavored chips
    Fruit platter
Cheese and crackers - plain types of cheese for little kids
    Marshmallows
    Fairy biscuits

DD's had a fairy themed party and our table ware was pink and pale blue so we did pink themed food. All of the food got eaten and it was really simple and easy and was no effort at all which meant I could also enjoy the party. The fruit and cheese platters were a hit with the kids and they ate all of it, so where the tempura nuggets
You hit the bail on the head there! I want food that is easy so I can enjoy the party!

    Thanks for your tips!

If your having a theme find a cookie cutter to match it and cut shapes out of the bread plus you can buy individual colour hundreds and thousands so last year I did a pirate party for DS and had a skull and cross bone cookie cutter so had skull and crossbones bread shapes, put butter on with black sprinkles and alternated with nutella spread with white sprinkles!
This year my theme is Play School so I'm using diamond, oval, square and arch shapes ( like their windows) !

    Oooh! I love this idea!

Haven't thought of a theme but some
Cookie cutter shapes would be cute anyway.

We did the whole finger food thing the first year and I was so stressed by it that now we do a BBQ, we have it started before everyone gets here so that it's ready to eat within a very short time. Kids love the sausages and so does the adults. Sorry not quite what you asked but just a different take on it.

I'll look for it. It was really quick and easy

Forgive any weird substitutions... Silly phone, but I still love it

2 ways I make them. Either use sanitarium veggie sausages wrapped in puff pastry and cut to size (easy!)

    or

    Mix in a bowl
    - bread crumbs (fresh work better)
    - an egg or 2
    - diced onion
    - grated carrot and zucchini
    - grated cheese
    - little salt and pepper
    - mixed herbs if you like
    - about 1/2 cup tomato sauce (or paste if u have it)

Then mix it all together, add eggs to help it bind together... Thats it! Use that mix in puff pastry to roll into sausage rolls and bake until cooked!

Oh, make sure you fry off the onion, carrot and zucchini first before adding to mix so it's semi cooked..
