    Default Help choosing a school

I had a look around at our local schools and decided on a local catholic school.
The catholic school seemed really nice and it looks like a good school.
Today I went to pay fees and I ran into a old friend in the carpark. It was so random.
Her child goes to this school and she isn't happy with it at all. She said she isn't putting her other children in.
She said her child has had issues and for the money it isn't worth it and some families have taken their kids out.
She recommended a couple of state schools in the area which I inspected and they seem all good too.
    Argh what to do???

Depends what your friend didnt like about the school, perhaps it was just a wrong fit for her child

I wouldn't let a disgruntled person's opinion sway me. Having worked in schools for over 10 years, the things that upset some people amaze me.

Everyone has such differing opinions on what is important and what's not. If you got a good feel and were happy prior to this then I wouldn't let it bother you too much. I've seen parents so upset that their kids weren't getting times tables for homework that they threatened to take their kids out of the school - um ok
