    I haven't read through the thread, but I don't think it's bogan. It means Aunt/Aunty in Italian, so that's what I think of when I hear it.

    ETA: Just read through and several people mentioned that on the first page haha, sorry.

    I like Sia.

    You could still use Zia, it's not like you're living in Italy. Lots of people are called Donna, which means woman in Italian. And Lana means wool but it's a common name here!

    I like it. Im not italian, but id prefer an 'aunty' meaning rather than some really weird made up name. I think its pretty. My best friend is zita so i may be biased! If you love it, use it!

    I know a gorgeous 8 year old named Zia. I have always loved the name. It's pretty, and different without being complicated. I don't understand how people could say it wrong, it's pretty simple with only two syllables. And as for spelling, every name can just about have many spellings!!
    Go with it if you love it!

    Kia is much much worse IMO.

    Yeah Kai has a million meanings. Every language almost uses the word.

    Ya I'm Italian that's aunty... But I like how it sounds in English still you're going to get weird looks from the Italians ....
