how nice are all our names? been sitting here just loving reading all of your posts, just beautiful names! love it

As for cots, we where originally going to get one from Ikea, but got caught up in the sales at baby kingdom. our major problem was the size of our room, and lack of storage, but that has now been solved thank goodness!

Had our first prenatal class last night, was very interesting, though we are definitely the oldest in the group!

Where do our mothers groups come from? apart from you lot the ones I can meet face to face?

Mothers Groups are formed by the child health nurse in your area, when your bub is born they will put you in contact with mothers with babies born around the same time as you and in the same area.

Default Re: IVF Babies Due Jan/Feb/Mar 2013 #3

I'm a defence wife so usually try the ones on base. Found my closest friends from going to a baby music class thing. Its really strange but you have to like suss people out for a bit then hit them up for coffee afterwards. Feels a but like stalking or being very nosey but I think you really want to make sure they are friend material before committing to any catch ups.

Dragonfly I would be the same I think - would totally want to suss people out before committing to catch ups haha! I am going to organise to go to a mothers club, a music class such as hey dee ho music (as I got a 50% off term voucher from the expo) plus will start swimming when bubs is 6months as well so I'm hoping to get some great connections through those things

Thanks ladies for the cot ideas, and SL also thanks for the ebay suggestions. I will have a look at them. I love the Boori, but i just dont love the price. i will make sure that what ever I buy is to australian standards for sure.

I will also be joining mothers groups, I have already looked up what is on at the local council and there are a fair few things to join and ill go along to play group as well as mothers group. I also have a few friends now with a bub staying at home or working PT so ill also hopefully meet up with them.

Thanks for updating the role call SL!

Dragonfly congrats on the little man.

Is everyone going to have or has has 3D/4D scans? I havent decided yet but people keep telling me its a once in a lifetime opportnunity and i should do it!

To be honest with you Nicsta I didn't want 3D/4D scans as they freak me out! It turns out that we had to have our 20 week scan repeated as the images didn't come out on the results properly and when we went back in I was the first to use this fancy new machine they had, and they did a 3D one anyway without even asking! It was freaky as I had imagined and I was cringing a bit when it was being done and sort of giggling with DH as we had both said we didn't want it! I haven't looked at the pics since! It is pretty cool I guess and I reckon the features look like DH from what I saw so really up to you; I wouldn't pay extra for it though. Not sure why an essay came out there - hehe!
