Mrs Simmo - 2 baby showers, now that is lucky! I think watching ur sister give birth beats any birthing class.

Grebbeci- that's great u had your baby shower on the same day! It's nice to get spoiled.

Mrs optimistic what have u got planned for your baby shower this weekend?

for those of u starting your classes soon let us know how they go. Ours is 2 hours every thurs for 6 weeks. I'm not sure I really gel with any of the couples there though which is a shame. I really want to be part of a mothers group. Does anyone know how u find one???

A welcome home baby party is a great idea!

the name he wants is Fred wtf. It has no significance? I understand kids get nicknames n all that stuff but I really don't like the name Fred I can't take it seriously I don't mean to hurt his feeling but I feel queasy at the thought of calling my baby fred
Would it be Fredrick or just Fred?

The only name hubby and I agree on is Issac. We are stuck on middle names though. I wanted Joseph as the middle name as its my grandfathers and dads name but I think issac Joseph sounds too biblical

Motherwillbe, I don't have anything special planned (like games etc) for the baby shower, just a nice afternoon tea where I get to have a conversation with my friends - mostly uninterrupted!

I too was lucky enough to be at the birth of both of my sisters first children, (both natural vaginal births) such an amazing experience! Alas it helped me not with a c section! I still did the birthing classes back then, but this time, I won't bother, I will await my 2nd section! :-)

I wouldn't worry to much about names sounding to biblical maybe it would have been a concern 20 yrs ago if you were worried that ppl might think you were religious because the fact is not so many ppl these days associate names with the bible or care that names are in the bible. Issac is an awesome name (my nephew is issac) !!!!!! Go with your heart

Names are sooo difficult! We haven't got too serious on the name front yet but we know it's middle name will be Anne after DH's mum who passes 8 years ago, don't love the middle name Anne, but it's also my middle name, my mums and my grandma's name so it kinda fits! but so far we like Ivy, Piper, Zara, Poppy....but really not sure yet, my fav is Ivy, Dh likes Piper...hmmm!
