With getting induced early I think since our bub is already on big side it helps our cause, plus our OB delivered my nephew in May who was 9lbs12... I don't think he wants ours to get that big!! Lol neither do I! Plus being that we are in WA he understand about DH's roster as a lot of people in WA work in mining...

Seems like GD might be something a few if us have to deal with! I didnt even know about it before getting pregnant and joining this forum!

I often wonder when bubs will come, will it be say early on 20th of Feb or will it be late like 11th of March...? Time will tell! But getting booked in does sound nice!

Adden, your like the guro of GD! I have to eat heaps of carbs for 3 days, like cereal, then 3 pieces of bread, a serving of potatoes along with 3 serves of fruit, and 3 of vegies, for morning tea and afternoon tea I have to have biscuits or scones (no complaints here)

So much food! I'm worried as I don't digest wheat products very well so its going to be an uncomfortable 3 days! Then I fast 12hrs before the test. Fingers crossed....

What do the do when they monitor you? Do you see bubs too?

I have NEVER heard to eat that many carbs before the test Nala! Ill have to ask around about that one! Im guessing its to see how you go with digesting all the carbs? Normally I have been told to keep a 'normal' diet - which to me is almost carb/sugar free anyway.

No, you don't get to see bubs, its just 3 blood tests - one every half an hour. it sux.. bring a good book!

Yes, you have to fast Mrs Simmo - but you need to stop eating at 10pm.

Just remember - nothing at all in the morning before the test. No tea, coffee nothing! you also have to limit your water intake (apparently.. only one place told me that though)

good luck girls! I want to know how you all go!

Hi Amy I didn't know that you could do that actually! I will just let bubs come naturally but totally understand you're reasons

I have my test in 3 weeks.. I'm scared!!!
I actually enjoyed all the monitoring I got last time. Don't know how I will go with all the appointments should it happen again (I was monitored 3 times a week in hospital for about 30 mins a day) but its so reassuring!
if you guys want meal help I'm here for ya!
fingers crossed for all those with GD issues.. its a hard road, but you can totally do it!
We have tacos once a week too - love!
