    Hi Ladies

I'm having a dilemma. I am going back and forth about whether to find out the sex of the baby or not! I want to know, but really only to do the nursery because I'm a bit of a control freak and I want it to be perfect! I don't really want to know and want a surprise apart from that reason. DH thinks it's a girl - I think it's a boy. So I need ideas for a perfect gender neutral theme for a room...

Every theme I think of (I was having Beatrix Potter and then changed to Classic Winnie the Pooh) seems to be quite boy-y if we have a girl, but anything girly I don't really want around if we have a boy! Grrrrr! I don't want animals, or green as I think they lean towards boy...
Would love some opinions... : )

We are doing a "hot air balloon" theme... so lots of bright balloons... the walls are blue but its a pretty blue and we are going to paint clouds aswell... I'm just sticking to nice bright colours, when bubs is born I will add more pink or blue depending on what it is...

I'm actually liking a blue for either sex - what sort of blue is it? Maybe like a light eggshell blue colour I'm thinking...?

We were originally going to do ours in creams and browns with a teddy bear theme. My brother and SIL did theirs white with a polka dot theme. Our nursery is basically gender neutral with gender specific soft furnishings. We have an old house with chair rail around the walls so the top of our walls is a light cream and the bottom is green, We just have pink curtains and pink linen on the cot and now it looks very girly.

Hubby wanted to know sex so due to me needing to know to set up room we are going to find out....This FRIDAY eeek
I am very nervous as I have no idea what we may be having some people get a gut feeling I have nothing lol.

Baby is really getting strong now it punches and kicks and bits me all the time and the tiredness is back, I got home from work and climbed straight into bed at 3.30 yesterday and feel like I will be doing exactly the same today.

I weighed myself when I was 12 weeks and I was 58kg I am now still 58 kg so that is nearly 7 weeks without my weight increasing yet my stomach is much more prominent and hard so i must be losing weight else where only way I can justify it?
Yeah again Meshell I'm torn......I have a feeling it's a boy but I can't keep getting girly things out of my head as DH REALLY thinks it's a girl.....arrgghhh....still another 2 and a half weeks until scan.

Meshell when did you feel your first proper kick? I am 17 weeks now and swear I can feel the occassional churning and bubbles but no definite signs yet...I can't wait.....

I had put on 8kg by 12 weeks and now I've put on 10 nearly 11, so I've slowed down a little bit! Everyone's different now! Jeez you must be tiny to be 58kg as 12 weeks!! My pre IVF weight was 58kg but haven't been that weight for a few years. This time pre baby was 64 and I'm nearly up to 80 now - eeeeekkk!!! 58 will be my goal after!!

I've put on about 4kg's since the start... so not going too bad, I haven't put any on in the last 4 weeks which mean I am loosing weight as bub puts on weight which is exactly what my OB wants... I was overweight to start with so I really need to watch how much I am putting on!

SL the colour I am going for is this... http://www.britishpaints.com.au/Colo...all/ColourWall#

The colour is called "Up and Away" #378W

Yes! Love it! I think I've given up on the idea of a theme! My DH really doesn't want to find out and I don't want to feel bad if I make him, as I said my only reason is really for the nursery. I'm now thinking I'll go for creams and yellows and then soft furnishings (cushions, linen, toys etc) go for girly or boy-y colours. I can either choose everything and then get DH to go out and get it all and set it up or I will buy both and get him to take the stuff back that's the wrong colour - I'll talk to him and see what he says about that idea!

As for the kicks it was probably the last week that it is feeling like thuds inside me more than just the churning feeling. Its cute.

I am 58kg at 19 weeks lol. But as I said I am firm and very round in the middle but maybe I have lost a lil weight else where? I might check with doctor on friday as to whether baby is measuring fine
lol i'm exactly the same if i had a girl it would be my little dolly. i just went into seed when i was out getting lunch and i had a look at the boy stuff and it's pretty damn cute too...
