This is all new to me also I'm 16 wks and have still got no movement is this normal like should I have little flutters ? My 20wk scan is through a privet place not till end of October will the hospital let me here bubbas heart beat as its been awhile
Hi Mrs Simmo I'm sorry I don't know much about shared care as we are with a private OB. With regards to 'movements' I am 19 weeks today and I think in the last week I've felt some really subtle movements but can't be sure. 'They' say between 18 and 20 weeks you will start to feel, although depending on how your placenta is sitting and the amount of fat around your stomach could be longer (my girlfriend had her placenta at the front and didn't feel bubs until 22 weeks)

    Hi All

Mrs Simmo I also cant help with the shared care but i hope you find the answers you need. I am going with a private OB, i dont really have GP i trust near me which is annoying as I am going to need one once bubs is born.

I am 17 weeks 3 days and I have felt a couple of flutters, it was different to gas, but i cant be sure. My placenta is at the back so they said i should feel movement earlier than later, but still nothing significant or consistent yet.

I had a scan last week just to check up, my OB has a scanner in his rooms, but its not a great one, everything looks a lot more blury than in the propper scans.

20 week scan in just over 2 weeks....cant wait! DH wont let me buy bubba stuff until after the 20 week scan so i am holding out and then can go and shop and decorate. In the meantime i have been fixing stuff in the rest of the house like new bed for us and new couches and carpet, its been an expensive time!

I am HANGING to finish up working. I must say slightly jealous of a co worker who is due one month after me but is leaving work in 4 weeks - I have 11.5 weeks to go...

I wish I didn't have to factor in $$$ lol then I could leave now and never go baaaacccckkkk hehehe! I'm bored as you can tell. Haven't seen baby for 2 months so REALLY looking forward to our 20 week scan on Friday. It's been a couple of weeks since we heard the little one's heartbeat and I haven't decided whether or not I'm feeling the baby yet - I think I have a couple of times but can't be sure - anyway - just 3 more sleeps to go....in other news had a couple of shocker nosebleeds today!

I am not having any scans done publicly as I prefer to pay more money and have it done by someone who specialises in the field, I know I may contradict myself seeing as I am going public instead of private but I have head great things about Redlands Public and I will not have to fork out for the hospital management fees and this will allow me to have extended time off work when baby is born.
Mrs Simmo - I am 21 weeks and baby can go for ages without moving then he will have a kick around. I think i was about 18 weeks when I was really feeling movement.
Hey mrs simmo, I go to Redlands public but do share care with my gp. I think someone else said it right you have to find a doc who is allowed to do sharecare. Like meshell I get my big scans (20 week etc) done at a fetal medicine unit mainly cos theyve done all my scans since amino and I trust the level of quality there.
I didn't feel my first solid kick till just over 20weeks so don't stress too much. I ant stop my little boy from kicking now I practically feel it every day
