I'm not sure if recovery is the same as trauma, it was a one off payment. The insurance company we used who were brilliant was Asteron, however our broker was trying to swap us over to Macquarie at the time of DH diagnosis. Was certainly worth it since DH is self employed (builder), I don't think it's that expensive $180-200 a month for income protection and life insurance

I had loan protection insurance on a loan through my bank, I lost my job and still couldn't qualify for the money so now I don't waste my time or money. I couldn't qualify for the payment because i wasn't receiving a centerline benefit and that I wasn't signed up with a jobseeking company. Just lucky we can survive on just my partners wage.

My partner can not get income protection or recovery insurance.. Or so all the brokers tell us!. (works with a firearm) so nothing here apart from our TPD, Death and Superannuation. If something happened and he couldn't work we would have to sell and move. Not the best scenario but manageable. I don't have it, I'd rather use the money to pay off our mortgage... Each to their own though, I understand it can be worth it...

adden your room is absolutely PERFECT I love love LOVE it! I saw lego on sale at Toys R Us - did you get any?

Who cleaned up with clickfrenzy? We didn't get anything as it kept crashing but I did see that the sales (for babies) were no better than any normal sale so we thought we'd leave it until Christmas / New Year sales.

I am panicking a little bit now...although we should have 90% of the nursery complete by Christmas. As we are using a cradle until baby starts to roll, we're waiting until boxing day to order ours hopefully we'll get a good deal. All the other furniture we are buying in bits a pieces (but all matching - decided to go with white). Once I finish work I'll have time to trawl the shops for soft furnishings and clothes etc
