Tormy and Emmyj - I'm glad I'm not alone. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong and am concerned about the next step.

Think ill do injectibles but no IUI. I just don't think the success rates are high enough to justify the cost. Would rather go to IVF. What are you girls going to do?

I know exactly how u feel Ainsleyp. DH and I are even considering going straight to IVF if we have no luck on the next 3 rounds of clomid. The few people I've spoken to who have had no luck with clomid ended up only falling pregnant with IVF anyway. Only problem is we've just started building a house and might have to wait till that's finished as finances might be a bit tight. We moved up to Mackay from Sydney at the end of last year and apparently the success rates of IVF here aren't great. So if we do go down that path we're going to go to Sydney.
It's so lovely to have u girls to talk too! I was feeling so depressed and alone but am feeling much better since I joined this forum. I find it hard to talk to my friends about it cause they all fell pregnant immediately and they have no idea how it feels. Thank u girls
By the way I've been meaning to ask if anyone else gets really bad hot flushes with clomid? I feel like I'm going thru menopause!

Emmyj that sucks about the Mackay success rates, what about Brisbane? How much longer will you give it before looking at IVF?

Yes - I have hot flushes!!! I take clomid at night and sometimes wake up covered in sweat! So gross. I have read that the symptoms are like menopause

I know what you mean about not being able to talk to others about things....all my family and friends have instant babies.

Good luck for your next cycle

Thanks Ainsleyp. We will give it another 3 shots after this round before we decide what to do next. We did consider Brisbane but apparently Sydney still has higher success rates plus all of our family live there so we'll have somewhere to stay.

    Hi everyone

Congratulations to everyone who got their BFP! It's such an exciting time.

I'm new to this forum and have just been diagnosed with PCOS and have just starting Clomid today.

I had a miscarriage back in June at 8 weeks and had to have 2 D&C's because of "retained products" (I really don't like that phrase) and we haven't fallen since.

My GP referred to us to a FS because he thought I had endometriosis and turns out I did which has been removed thanks to a laproscopy/hysteroscopy 2 weeks ago. During my follow up appointment last week he told me that AMH levels were the highest he's seen and that among other things confirms the PCOS. He told us that we have a 2% chance of falling naturally, 12% chance on Clomid and 45% through IVF - which we've decided we're not going to do.

Day one on Clomid and i'm having some pretty bad mood swings already. One of my friends has been on Clomid before and was monitored really closely through blood tests and ultrasounds where as my FS has just told me to take the pills for days 3-7 and then "do the deed" on days 13-16 and has only said to "come back in the new year if you haven't fallen pregnant". I'm feeling really uncomfortable about going back to him.

So fingers crossed this round works!

So sorry to hear about ur miscarriage Kirsten. I can imagine that would have been quite a sad and difficult time for u.
I'm onto my third round of clomid now....haven't noticed mood swings but have been getting hot flushes. This round we're actually doing a blind round (well that's what my fs calls it) so I won't be getting any ultrasounds or blood tests. I just have to give myself a trigger shot on day 14 and we have to dtd on days 12,14 and 16. Is ur fs certain ur going to ovulate on the dose of clomid ur on? I would be a little worried that the dose might not be right for u. We're only doing a blind cycle cause I've had 2 regular cycles where I've ovulated at the same time.
Good luck with it all anyway! I'll have my fx for u!

*sigh* AF just arrived today, so I'll be doing my 2nd 100mg clomid round. At least it's worked to reduce my normally ≥48 day cycles to 41 days.

My specialist doesn't know that i'm definitely ovulating on those dates. He was pretty rushed the last time I went in to see him. With Christmas/New Year and them closing for the break I won't be having any blood tests or scans to monitor things.

Sorry to hear about AF nightchild good that the clomid has reduced your cycles though.

Hi everyone! I'm so glad I've found somewhere I can debrief, I think my friends and even my husband are sick of hearing about it.

A little about me. I fell pg with happy, healthy DS our first month trying. So when we started trying June 11 we didn't expect any issues. Dec 11 we fell pg, but lost the pregnancy. Here we are 12 months later and still trying. Cycles are usually 36-38, but my latest was 49. I live in Mackay too emmyj, saw fs in August who told to 'keep trying, come back next year'. I had gone home to see family, so booked in with OB that delivered DS and she was WONDERFUL. I'm starting my first round of 50mg clomid tonight (CD2)

Also add, because my prescribing dr isn't local I won't be having any follow up. So taking clomid and tracking my cycles on my own.
