I know, right? My clinic didn't mention any scans at all, just handed me scripts for the bloodwork.

Perhaps they got me to do the HSG first because I've never been on the pill before.

Hi girls, I am popping in here for some advice to give to my SIL. She has been TTC for over 8 years with no luck at all. She has been on clomid for 6 months and the Dr has just given her a script for another 6 months but has been told that if that doesn't work then she will have to go see an IVF specialist.

Is there anything else that you girls are trying that I might be able to tell her about? I have suggested she sign up to BH for some support as she is getting very depressed about the whole thing. We are very close and I really want to be able to support her through this but I just don't know how

Help! Has anyone had spotting mid cycle on clomid? I had some blood on CD15 (sorry tmi) when I wiped but enough that I thought it was the start of AF but didn't need to wear anything. Today I had what looked like old blood. I don't usually experience spotting until late in my cycle a few days before AF. I don't think I have ovulated yet. Does anyone know if this is a side effect of clomid?

Umm well my acupuncture lady said clomid can dry up your cervical mucus, so I am on cough medicine to losen up the cervical mucus.... have a look on google, there is a bit on it! In all honesty coming from IVF, I wouldnt waste another 6 months on clomid, I would go straight to IVF! Or at least another specialist as they could suggest something else.... poor girl

jojo most FSs won't recommend clomid for more than 6 months, with studies showing success decreases after 3 unsuccessful months. Is she seeing a FSS? Is she monitored with scans? Is she charting? Does she know she is definitely ovulating?

    Default clomid round 2

    Hi
    Can I join in too??

I have just started my 2nd round of clomid 50mg. Last cycle I had just about everything done, HSG - tubes fine, and day 21 bloods confirmed ov, also know when I ovulated and dtd but still BFN . FS thinks polycysitic ovaries without PCOS and endometrioma on R ovary.

DH has just had his SA tests and due for my d12 scan to check for follicles in a couple of weeks. Had 2 follicle last cycle and still couldn't catch one.

It's good to hear the success stories. I'm worried bcoz last cycle I was really down, and not sure if that was coz of the clomid - esp since the last thing u wanna b doing is the deed.

It's comforting to know that we are all in the same boat.

    Looking forward to hearing updates.
