You know what we've all been told a million times, to the point of wanting to get violent...? 'It will happen as soon as you stop trying'

    Hi Ladies

I'm pretty sure i'm getting my AF today so my first round of clomid didn't work.

The hubby and I have discussed it and i'm not taking it again nor are we going back to our specialist. The pills were just too hard on my body and there's no way I would be able to cope on a higher dose.

Our Specialist wanted us to jump straight into IVF which wasn't part of our plan. We were always "If it happens it happens and if it doesn't it doesn't". Right now there is just too much pressure on it to happen so I need to step away from it. We've fallen naturally once before (even though I had a MC) so fingers crossed it happens again.

We're going to look into more natural options and possibly accupuncture to see if that helps.

    Kirstin x

So sorry Kristen :-( I have heard great things about accupunture. I started it, but it got too hard to juggle with work and DS. Plus it was getting a bit expensive.

How did you find the clomid too hard in you? I found it made me feel really down and flat while taking it.

Has anyone found increased symptoms in the tww? I'm feeling loads of preggo symptoms, like massive bbs. But starting to wonder if its a clomid-hang over?

    Hi Ladies,

I have only just found the thread... hope you don't mind me joining in a bit late?! I wish I had of found it a couple of months ago when I was diagnosed with PCO.

I started my first round of 50mg clomid on 5/12/12 and when I had my CD21 blood test I hadn't ovulated I am now on my 2nd round of provera awaiting AF then will start on 100mg of clomid and I O this month.

How is everyone else going on Clomid? Any advice on things to do to assist it working? I read that having full fat dairy as opposed to low fat dairy helps women O as we need the fat to O, theres been a study done. I have made the change but it's been hard... I'm not used to it at all!

    Thanks for reading
    x

The clomid turned me into an emotional wreck. One minute I was happy, the next sad, then angry and the tears. Omg the tears...I am not a teary person by nature but wow did they come out full force. Also, the rage I felt was unbelievable. My poor husband had to put up with all this not only while I was on the drugs but also when they were leaving my system. I can't do that to myself and him again.

Welcome new ladies! I'm sorry you're here though.....

JB2011 I'm on the full fat dairy thing too - was a huge study they did at Harvard I believe? And I'm generally trying to eat more and put on a bit of weight. Even though my BMI is fine at 19, I figure ladies are meant to have more fat for baby making!

I'm on my 6th month of clomid I ovulate with a trigger but no pregnancy yet. It's really getting me down....as there's no apparent reason why i'm not pregnant yet.

I have to move onto injections next month as apparently you can only do 6 months of clomid.

Missusmac I get symptoms in the 2WW but I think that's just the progesterone? Clomid has a half life of 7 days I think - so you'll definitely still feel it's effects for a while.

Noonank, I don't think that's very responsible of the specialist to get you staight into IVF. Injectibles are a good alternative to clomid - has he/she mentioned that?

    Good luck everyone!!!!!!

I think I will give clomid one more month for the same reason noonan. I'm not teary, but sooo down in the dumps. I'm lucky enough to O without it, it was just the next step in our 'unexplained' fertility journey.

No progesterone here. Not sure I qualify for the 7 day symptoms though? I finished clomid on cd6, didnt O until CD19 and am now I CD28?

I will have to look up this study. We have fullfat dairy in the house, wonder if I should increase it. I've also read its good for swaying girls too (which I'd love, but I will just take a baby now thanks!).
