KandP - the three of you have been in my thoughts. I hope everything is settling down. Check private mail. Take care

Laned- how is the beautiful little springbok going? Must be 12 ish weeks now. Nearly second trimester. How exciting. Hope the morning sickness is settling now.

calita- I hope the spotting has not returned and all is going well.

to everyone else out there pregnant or on there way, hoping all is well in your world and you have a great weekend.

AFM - today marks 14 weeks, second trimester. I didn't think I would make it here.

I can come off all rest now. I can be me again. I have been drug free now for 5 days. However I think I am having withdrawals from the Valium. I have had headaches like you wouldn't believe since Thursday. I have checked my BP regularly and it is fine, drinking 2-3L of water a day. So i think it has to be headaches from valium withdrawal. Also I am suffering with insomnia since Thursday night also. Awake every hour or so and unable to sleep past about 430am. Not like me at all. I can sleep for the nation normally! I am putting it all down to withdrawals from 6.5 weeks on Valium. I see my obstetrician on Thursday so hopefully if it is some thing else he will pick it up then.

    Take care one and all

KandP - can completely understand you being scared $h!tless. I really do feel for you. It is such a cruel game this infertility roller coaster. I know it almost sounds stupid to say, but for yours and bubs sake try and keep calm and remember bed rest. I was like a beached whale for the two weeks and did nothing. Much love to you. X

Calita - likewise hope things are settling for you. The Crinone is really awful at irritating things.

Bala - so please to here about your final freedom. As for the Valium and all other drugs I spoke to Wazza last week and had told him I had already commenced a drug reduction protocol. I am have reduced my Valium to 1/2 Marne and 1/4 nocte and have also started to wean off the prednisone, oestrogen and progesterone. I was really worried about Valium withdrawal too. The bloody stuff is so addictive. I still don't know what the overwhelming attraction to it in the 70's was, everyone was on it then, my goodness what a bunch of stoners our parents were. Yes I will be 12 w on Mon.

KT - last but certainly not least. I am thrilled to read your lovely news. Can't wait to read you hcg results xx

    AND THE RESULTS ARE IN..........................................
    .................................................. .............................

After 7 IVF cycles, we FINALLY have our BFP!!!

I'm still completely in shock. The HCG is looking strong at 3693 and QFG said it's in the normal range for 17 dp ET.. I am finally starting to believe it.

KT - again, i'm so so happy for your BFP - that is just brilliant news and that beta is fantastic - very healthy

Mimi - thank you for your lovely words

Laned and bala - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. You have both given me hope that this pregnancy may just hold. It's so wonderful to hear that you're each at the stage of coming of your meds - i can't wait to get to that stage!

So, since yesterday, the bleeding has definitely settled. i had no bleeding at all overnight, woke up at 3 this morning with a sore throat (stupid prednisone lowering my immune system), and went to the bathroom - wiped, and no blood. That lasted until about 9, when i had another drip/ooze, but nothing like yesterday. I'm getting less terrified by seeing red blood as each day passes, if that's possible, i literally am only getting up to go to the bathroom - my hubby is waiting on me hand and foot (he's the butter to my bread <3) and has been a gem. I am going to my best friend's house on the 9th November for the day, but that will be me getting into the car, and then getting on her couch so she can look after me for the day. But i'm taking Wazza's advice very seriously.

Edit - i just felt another ooze of dark red blood. Effing hell.

It's strange, when you're in the middle of it, you think that your case is the worst in the world, but i'm sure there are women who have had far worse than i have and have gotten through this. I just want to get to next friday and hopefully see a little heartbeat.

Thanks again so much for all of your support xoxox

Laned - smart to foresee the Valium withdrawal. I also can't understand the allure for Valium. It is an evil drug really. I only like it because it saved our baby. Otherwise it is pure evil.

KandP - take note of this Valium withdrawal as you too may be on it for a long time. Just read your post. You are doing all the right things. Keep positive. Keep resting.
Just an idea i wanted to share with you. To help out my husband I got a cleaner in a few times a week and also did coles online delivery for groceries and light and easy frozen meals. I felt at least by outsourcing a little while I could do nothing it helped ease the burden for him ever so slightly so at least the house was clean, food in fridge and frozen meals if he didn't want to cook. It made me feel a little better about laying in bed like a spoilt princess on drugs!
