    Hi ladies,

I did a home pregnancy test which was positive so blood test tomorrow. It feels very hard to believe that after almost ten years of TTC I have seen a positive test - one other about 8 years ago which resulted in m/c.

Of course I have a long way to go. Just wondered if anyone knows - I'm taking progynova (oestrogen) and ralovera/provera (progesterone) and crinone (progesterone gel). I'm fairly certain that these meds can't cause a false positive but any thoughts from anyone?

Mimi,I was on the same medications for Thomas and no - they can't cause a false positive - only a HCG booster used as luteal phase support (an injectible called Pregnyl) can cause a false positive. Here's hoping they work as well for you as they did for me, and help you to have a beautiful, healthy baby!

Mimi - I think you can start to dance and jive and jump and scream. Congrats. Do another HPT tonight, pretty certain it will be positive if you are 24 hrs away from blood test. Oh you must be elated. Thinking of you and crossing everything for a big strong number tomorrow. Best of luck.

Buffy, CONGRATULATIONS! Such wonderful news! I know you will be cautious for a while (I didn't tell anyone until I was 18 weeks along because I was so fearful it would be taken away) but along with everyone here I am hoping for an easy and stress free pregnancy for you with a beautiful healthy baby at the end.

Laned, WOO HOO FOR SPRINGBOK HEARTBEATS!!! Hoping you are more relaxed now and that everything keeps on going well.

Mimi - I hope today's result was a good one for you. Have been sending positive thoughts all day.

buffy - another hurdle to jump tomorrow, I pray you clear it with confidence. I am sure you will, you so deserve this. Praying to all my Gods that you get fabulous numbers.

I am settling back into my Valium bed rest. Four more weeks to go! I am delighted to report that the bleed stopped within 12 hours. Over the moon with that. I am also 9 weeks tomorrow, another milestone in this rocky road to motherhood. This bed rest is giving me time to reflect on so much and making me smell the roses. It is a blessing in many ways. I have also been reminded how fabulous my husband is, I found such a great man, he has been amazing, adaptable and so supportive without complaint. My family and friends have all pitched in to help as well as running a house with a two year old boy is quite a job. totally impossible if resting in bed drugged up on Valium. So during this time I reflect each day how blessed I truly am and how blessed this unborn child is to come into a world of love love and more love. Night night
