Yeah if all goes to plan I'll be having a water birth at John Flynn, I've done lots of research. What hospital are you planning on going to?

Betty- congratulations!!! so happy for you!

Newmummy- ive done lots of research about water births & ill be going for one once im pregnant again lol. The water truely does relieve labour pain, or atleast it did for me, however i got out to speed things up thinking i had forever to go, only to sit on the bed and have ds right then and there lol should have stayed in the bath!

Afm- sorry to be missing in action, ive been staying away in hopes the time will go quicker (it didnt really lol) next AF is due tomorrow and then i start clomid again .

I am booked into GC hospital cause my private health care doesn't kick in till 3 months after bub is due cause we signed up a bit late but ill use it with the next bub ( can't leave my frosty in the cold for too long lol) but I'm going to ask about getting into the birthing centre there for a water birth. I have done a bit of research and it looks so carming for the baby and I'm hoping for me too lol....

Yeah it looks so good. Apparantely the baby barely cries when they are born cause they are not in any sort of distress. Huge pain relief value too I hear. I can't wait, hope this stays a risk free pregnancy so I can have one

I watched a video and the dad was allowed to get into the tub and catch the baby I thought that would be cool too and good way to get dad involved... (Ooo and I hear there is less tearing ) my man is keen for that! 😊 ...

I'm keen on a water birth too -- and I know my preferred Ob, Shiri Dutt, does them. Though at other times I think maybe an elective Cesar is the way to go!! I do know that I don't want to be labouring flat on my back and I have a compulsive fear of forceps, as my skull has a small dent from where they were used on me!!!

Betty, a girlfriend had dr dutt as her OB, and maneesh Singh ended up delivering her bub and she liked maneesh so much more that she will going to him instead if she has another one. She did think highly of dr dutt but maneesh was a bit more relaxed and made her feel at ease (she was 6 weeks early so she was quite anxious) which she liked.

Have to agree with you here.. Heard dr singh is amazingly calm! Kinda wish I'd gone with him now. X

Kate - how are u going on the drugs? We never got a frosty so not sure what that process involves but thinking of you and am glad things are underway and you have a date for transfer.

Fullofhope - that's great you are close to starting your next IUI. Are u using the same donor as last time?

Betty - how are you going? No sticks today? Hope you are enjoying your weekend amongst this rain!!

I don't think Pindara does water births but it does sound like a good way to deliver.

    Tk
