Kate is right, once you hear the heartbeat time flys, and time goes even quicker after you hit 12 weeks!

Newmummy, I was on crinone on had to take it until what I was given ran out. I think my progesterone numbers were ok but they said if I had it just to use it up cause it can't hurt. Your right though, it will all hit home when you see that heartbeat.

    Hi Ladies,

I hope your coffee date was good. Did many of you end up being able to go? Sounds like there were going to be a few baby bumps. Which is very exciting

Congrats on the great news GC Nic and TK (and the others I have missed mentioning - sorry still getting used to who everyone is). GC Nic what is this DHEA stuff you were referring too? I am not even sure what it stands for. Do you think this is something we should ask about?

Mustang Kate, Betty and Miss Kristy hope you guys are doing ok.
I am actually having a hard day today after my good mate announced her pregnancy last night. We have been going through the fertility journey together (she lives in Brisbane) but its been great to have a little friend in a similar situation as you don't feel quite so alone. We chat every week and let each other know what we are up too with treatments, feelings about our other super fertile friends etc. I am so very excited for her but the annoying selfish part of me is jealous and sad that I have lost my buddie in this experience. (Which I know I haven't - it just feels that way). That's the one thing I really HATE about all this is that you start to become so self absorbed which is actually not in my nature at all. It's so weird all the emotions that flare up. Sometimes I have to laugh at this person I have become. It's ridiculous!

Anyway I'm sure after a few days it will have sunk in and it will be great. As we all know anyone on this journey who can get off it quickly is blessed. I just need a few blessing coming my way too!!!

Also can anyone aid me in how to create my signature box. I asked at another part of the forum a few weeks ago but no one got back to me. I don't normally consider myself computer illiterate but this has me stumped.

Also was thinking of going down the acupuncture route come January. Does anyone have suggestions for good ones on the coast? A friend mentioned QI in Burleigh for fertility as mine in Coollongatta is good but I am not sure they are expert in fertility stuff. Also how often do you recommend I go? Weekly or just pre and post transfer?

    Thanks ladies x

    Hi Positive,

Thanks for checking, I'm fine -- waiting till I start jabbing again after Xmas!

It's hard not to be jealous when someone else has what you want, regardless of how (theoretically!) happy you are for them. Don't beat yourself up -- this journey is tough enough without the "I'm a horrible person" guilt as well.

I see Brad at Studio Qi for acupuncture and he is super lovely. He tells you to go once a week, which can add up. Robina has a medical centre that does free (bulk billed) acupuncture so I started going there to 'supplement' the treatments from Qi!

Re the other thread you posted in -- Dr Ong will tell you if you need DHEA -- I asked him about it and the CoQ10 and he said the CoQ10 is good for everyone (300mg/day) but that "you don't want me to tell you you should be taking DHEA."

    I don't know about signatures!

    Afternoon girls,

Tryingtobepositive - thank you for thinking of me too! I'm ok (finish work today and come back on the 14th so that's something to be happy about). I agree with BettyW about not feeling guilty. For anyone that is or has been through IVF they now how horrible it is and that is can become consuming. It's only natural though as it's obviously something we all want but for some can't get. I'm sure you're friend will understand any feeling of jealousy you may have. I had 3 gf's have their babies in the same week, including my very best friend. That was back in mid Nov and I'm only going to go and see her this w/end. I just couldn't deal with it then.

Re: acupuncture. I see Toni Best at the A Team in Mudgeeraba. She specialises in women's health/IVF/fertility and is just so wonderful. It's nice having a women too sometimes. I've also been to Studio Qi a few years back for other issues and Brad was nice.

To change/update your signature you need to click on 'User Control Panel' which is on the top left toolbar with the light purple writing. From there I think on the left hand side there should be a link to edit signature!

    Hope that helps.

    Have a great day ladies.

    Kate x
