    Hey everyone

Sorry I have been off line for the last few days. Work is absolutely manic (3wks 2 days til xmas and counting every one of them). Gee a lot can happen in a week on here!!!

Goldie - amazing pic!! so happy your 12 wk scan went well. It must be such a relief to get past that point. Congratulations.

Nic - I bet you feel reenergised and ready for round 3. I know our little break did us a lot of good. I have all my fingers crossed this round goes well and you are on the BFP wagon soon!

Betty - what date was your egg pick up again? 3 December seems a long way past your transfer day but I might be getting my dates mixed up. I really hope the bleeding is due to implantation. Its exciting you have a faint BFP. Did you do another test today?

Kate - Oh love I am so sorry this emby didn't take. It is so hard to get that news. I wish I could give you a hug. I hope Dr O'Dowd helps talk things through today so you have a plan. Let us know what he says xxx

Fullofhope - I read through the posts from a few days ago and cannot believe what your friend said. It was completely stupid and ignorant. So should everyone who gets sick just die and not seek medical treatment because that would be natural selection / survival of the fitest (the same theory she is applying to who should have a baby or not). None of us on here would have babies if it wasn't for science/medicine (Kate and I definitely wouldn't!!!!). Some people really do not know what it feels like to be in our shoes and can be very careless in what they say. I know when we had our miscarriages people who had gotten pregnant within a month or two and never lost a baby made the most stupid comments that they thought were making us feel better like "it wasn't your turn"... "you have to be patient". Ah.. you didn't have to be patient!! Sorry rant over. That's why you girls are the best people to talk to coz we all understand each other. Sending you hugs Fullofhope and I am wishing this round works for you. Let us know how your blood test goes.

Jen / Calli - you know me - always up for coffee :-) We can do anytime on the 9th, 15th or 16th. Let us know what suits everyone the best. Hope lots of you ladies can make it!!! Calli - I'm glad your folks are looking after you. It would be hard to manage everything by yourself while pregnant.

Erin Jess - how are you girls going? Are you still on progesterone support? What date is your next blood test. So happy you were third time lucky too :-)

Beck - wow 17 weeks!!! exciting that you think it might be a boy. Kate and I think we are having a boy too but who knows really. We won't find out either but there is always the risk that you see something on a scan. But I have heard that those bits can look similar for a really long time. When was your scan where you got a sneaky peak?

AFM: Kate is just over 8 weeks now. Still does my head in that there is a baby growing in there. We had a bit of old blood for about a week as the second pregnancy sorted itself out but that has all stopped now which is a relief. Just made us a bit anxious. She is feeling nausious on and off but hasn't vomited. She gets bad headaches a lot and is tired!! So we are taking that as a good sign. We have another scan at 9 weeks (next Wed) and we are thinking we will ask for another at 11 weeks (they only cost $26 as we have well and truely hit our safety net so figure we might as well!!). We will probably get extra scans at the Australian Institute of US between 12 and 20 weeks like you girls have suggested.

    Hi girls,

I went to yoga with my gf yesterday to try to heal my soul (corny hey!!).

Saw O'Dowd too and didn't really help that much. He just repeats himself every time I see him...... it's a numbers game blah blah blah. I've got blocked tubes due to endo and I keep asking if the endo is causing me to miscarriage (I've had 2) and the emby's not to take. He keeps just saying 'maybe'. He's on holidays for the next two weeks but I've got an appt with him late Dec to do an internal examination to determine if he thinks my endo has gotten out of hand again. If so he may do another lap before my next FET.

I also did a AMH test yesterday. They said they're getting all the girls to do them now so they can determine if the FSH levels need to be increased. O'Dowd said he probably should have increased my FSH this last cycle I did. UM Why didn't you discuss this BEFORE I did the fresh cycle?? It's no good telling me after it was a BFN and I've spent $8K or so on it.

I'm so glad my DH was there because I just felt like he was jerking me around. I was ready to yell at him for wasting my time and money.

So after about an hour or so the plan is to do internal end of Dec and then due to them closing over xmas and the dates of when my cycle falls, an FET in Feb (unless I have another lap surgery).

So after 3 years (2 of which my GP spent stuffing me around) I am no closer to getting & staying pregnant.

Frustrated is an understatement of how I feel.

    Sorry for the rant.

    Kate

Oh Kate that is really frustrating. What FSH level have you been on? When will you get your AMH results? Would u consider changing FS to another at QFG? Michael Flynn has been so so good and thorough. He may also be able to do the internal sooner??? Thinking of you!! And you never know this frosty may be the one so it may not have been a total waste.

    Txxx

Kate, I so feel your frustration. People just don't understand how you feel the time ticking away, and how a "maybe" or other ambiguous answer can be incredibly infuriating. We've only been through one round with our current clinic but I am already feeling quite upset with how their 5-day blastocyst policy winnowed my egg numbers down to nothing. I've also had 2 miscarriages (and in the midst of a third, it seems) and not being given answers about that is terrifying.

I really hope your frozen cycle works, and if not maybe it is the time to look elsewhere.

Full of Hope -- I hope your blood test goes well. Fingers crossed the hpt are faulty!

I've done 2 more tests and the line has gotten fainter each time. My blood test is 17 days post epu, which seems late to me too TK. Am also worried I will miss the next cycle because I'm basically having my period now and my clinic closes between Xmas and new years.

Sorry for all the me me me posts lately -- this is occupying so much of my mental space, I can hardly focus on anything else -- haven't walked my dog, am detached from work, being vague with friends... Tired of being inside my own head so much!

    Hey girls,

TK - I've only been on 150 both fresh cycles and I have no symptoms of PCOS!!! I'm not sure about changing. I've already changed my a specialist in Brisbane where I had my lap surgery last year to O'Dowd and I can't really be bothered seeing someone else and explaining everything again!! Do you know anyone that has fallen pregnant on a FET cycle?? I was looking at the % when I had the last transfer and it's only 26% for my age group compared to 45% for IVF. That doesn't give me much confidence.

BettyW I totally get how you are feeling. I would actually get out there and walk your dog for a start. As long as you take it easy and don't exert yourself it may be good for your wellbeing. I walk my pooch to a lake nearby and sometimes just sit down there and cuddle my dog and watch the ducks!! Things like that seem to bring me happiness in this crazy world.

Oh and I couldn't give a rats about work either - just going through the motions. Do you have any gf's that have been through IVF? I'm very lucky to have a close friend that has (she went through 15 rounds and unfortunately no baby. She started at the age of 36 though and had some other issues. Thankfully they were able to do a private adoption 2 years ago). It's nice being able to spend time with her and not have to justify my feelings or explain them. She's the one I did yoga with. She started it to cope with IVF too.

Hope your blood tests bring you some positive news.

    Kate

Sorry for no personals, bloods came back BFN, not our month... We can't fit a cycle into December either so the next one won't be until January now
