Erin Jess - how many follicles did u have for this IUI? Could it be twins?

Kirsty - I hope u don't mind me asking but what kind of fertility issue do u guys have? I haven't heard of sharkeys. Is that an IVF clinic on he coast? We are with QFG and can highly recommend it.

AFM - cant stop looking at our baby scan pic. I know the risks are small now but I would still like to fast forward to 12 weeks just to know for sure this joy won't be taken away.

TK- only one follicle with this IUI, they think its just a really strong pregnancy. I can't wait for our 7week scan, I'm sure I won't be able to put it down when we get ours.

We have only told my sister because she is staying with us while she builds her house. We will tell our inmediate family after our scan, can't wait

    Hi Girls!

    so much exciting news ATM

TK - gorgeous pic! We're going to do a canvas collage of all our photos from blastocyst to newborn. It's so nice to just stare at it all day. I'm so excited for you both. That 7 week scan is the craziest. Just seeing that HB is the biggest relief. For your peace of mind - at 10weeks bubs survival rate is 95% and at 12weeks 98% so the difference is minimal. I felt better at 10 weeks knowing that. It's cute how baby your photo looks. Considering it had no "baby" features at all. Ours was a jelly bean with the yolk sac next to it. No baby look at all.

Erinjess - fantastic news. Great HCG levels too. The amount of HCG varies so much doesn't it. And there's really no correlation between levels and number of babies. Can't wait for your 7 week scan

for all the girls expecting - go to Australian institute of ultrasound on Facebook. Their pic is of a bunch of ladies in red shirts and "friend" them. They offer free u/s on a regular basis to ladies of any gestation. You are scanned by practicing students. They won't diagnose anything but its a bit of fun to see bubs more often tan the 1-2 scans you get in pregnancy. If you're keeping bubs a secret you can private message them
Also, if you'd like to join a private Facebook IVF pregnant group let me know and I'll add you.

To all the other girls - I hope your cycles, 2ww and any other stage you're at is going well. Fingers crossed there'll be a few more wonderful Xmas presents soon

afm - 16 w 5 days today. I now have a tummy and I think I felt bubs move but unsure yet. We won't find out what were having (whoever asked that). This has all been so planned and calculated for us as you all well know, so we want a bit of surprise and wonderment if that makes sense. I'm a bit of a traditionalist in many mummy ways too so we'll wait for the big reveal! Will try for coffee again but don't know rosters until the Thursday the week before so can't give a date suggestion. Fingers crossed I can meet you all soon.

Hi beck, thanks for the info on the ultrasound school, I registered on their website. I have my 12 week scan on Wednesday and honesty it can't come soon enough. It's been like 2 or 3 weeks since my scan and for the last week or so I've been like, is my baby ok? My pregnancy symptoms have started to subside so not really feeling pregnant at the moment which doesn't help. You are very strong to hold off finding out what your having. I way too much of a control freak not too. I need to be organized. My friend even told me about a urine test you can do at home to find out the sex, but I'm happy to wait for the sonographer to tell us when the time comes.

If I join the ivf facebook page you were talking about does it show up as a like or group on my page?

Kristy, I bumped an old thread on bubhub a while back asking about Sharkey's... Didn't really get much feedback. I was sent some info about a "fertile mind, fertile body" workshop they had about a month ago but from memory it was about $400 each and I am a bit skeptical and science-minded, so we didn't go. Think if we go a few more rounds though I'll be looking for whatever options are out there! Am very interested to hear about your experience if you go.

    Hi girls,

Misskristy Ive heard of Sharkeys & looked into it early last year but then found out why I wasn't getting pregnant naturally (I have blocked tubes). My sister-in-law & another gf have also used them. From what I know they are similar to what a naturopath offers. You have to have blood tests etc & then have to take a heap herbal tonics. From what I remember just to send in your questionnaire was a few hundred dollars & that didn't include treatment. I don't know whether they treat just you or you & your husband because if there are issues on both sides it may not be the best solution.

AFM 3 days left till blood tests & I can't wait to be out of this limbo land. Have been feeling pretty average but had acupuncture today so hopefully that will help -at least it makes me sleep!

Hello to all the other girls.

    Kate x

Beckjebs- that's exciting that your going to wait to find out bubs sex!

Kate- hope the next three days go fast for you!!

Afm- I've been a bit nauseous and having back pain today :s... Don't know whether that's due to working alot & being tired though. We also had friends come and visit today too... They know what I've been going through and to begin with were encouraging, but today she says out of nowhere... Well if this cycle doesn't work, maybe you should take it as a sign, that things happen for a reason, after all in nature fertility treatment should not even be available, all these woman pump themselves with synthetic hormones to go against nature, if you were meant to have children you would not need any help".... Was just a tad gobsmacked at that point ... I found it really difficult to continue to be a good hostess for the rest of the Arvo..... :s... Pretty crap that people still think that way these days...

Full of Hope, I'm so sorry your 'friend' said that. It's just absurd -- if someone has some other kind of medical condition do we just suggest they "listen to nature" and suffer or die?!? It makes me so angry that people can be that judgemental, narrow minded and ignorant...
Not to mention the number of teenage bogan mothers I see smoking swearing at and hitting their kids -- so nature intended them to have a baby but not me?!? Nature must be pretty dumb in that case.
