After being told the scan was perfect had a call from the doctors to go in for a chat... Never a great sign, my bloods came back abnormal from the screening test and we at high risk of having a baby with Trisomy 21 (down syndrome) 1:220 they class it as high risk but I'm trying to think we have a 219 chance of everything being ok.

Recommended by a number of professionals to have an amniocentesis in two weeks, the last few weeks haven't been fun
That would have put a dampener on the scan, but I would still be thinking as you. It's a 1 in 219 chance and the scan was perfect.
I know we will have to have this done too, if we ever get there, due to my history- I can't imagine what your going through at the moment.
When is the test? Skinny jeans- love it xox

Kmvw, just wanted to stop by after reading your post, one of my friends was told there was 1 in 4 chance of her son having downs, she decided to carry on as normal and have the baby and he was ok. Just shows as you said there is 1 in 219 chance that it will be fine. Fx for you xxx

Hi everyone else will catch up later this afternoon, got to get the small boy some breakfast sorted!

Thanks everyone. It was a relief to see the flicker but I was interested to see about the blob that kept interfering with my vision of bubs as did the sonographer, hence her bringing in the big guns. I am looking forward to the twelve weeker. It all feels a little bit more real now.

Kmvn - I am in the age bracket that I am assuming before I even get there that I'll need an amnio, I'm almost just ready to tell my ob just to get the ball rolling. As I understand rest up after, couch potato, and fingers crossed for you it's all fine.

Zakmick - are you happy, that sounds like fantastic numbers? Let's hope they've all got eggies in them. Keep us posted for epu.

    Hi Ladies,

Jen80 - that's fantastic news. Congratulations! Hope you get to go in on Wed.

Wunsi - Congratulations to you too! Looking forward to hearing about your next scan x

Zakmick - Your numbers are great! Really hoping that this is THE cycle for you x

Kmvw - Great to hear that you're sounding so positive. I also know someone who was told she had a high risk of a downs baby but has a healthy little girl. I have everything crossed for you.

    to everyone else.

AFM - Had my first scan this morning. 6 good sized follies and a few smaller ones. I know that I should be happy with those numbers as I am a poor responder but I'm feeling a little low. I only got 2 eggs last time and I really wanted a few more this time around. Last time I was showing 5 follies and only got 2 eggs. Next scan Mon morning and EPU looking like Wed or Thurs.

Hi everyone it's super quiet on here!
Zackmick, do you have date for egg collection yet? How are things going?

Little feet, same to you, are you epu tomorrow??? Good luck!

wunsi, when is your next appointment now?

AFM.... Had blood test Monday at doctors, HCG was 82 14 dpo. I have bloods at hospital tomorrow, hoping for a good steady number! Not feeling too sick yet but have sore (.)(.)! Having on and off cramps but fairly light so not too paranoid about them.

    Take care everyone

Jen - hope your numbers keep rising, it's so exciting.

    How is everyone else?

AFM - Had EPU yesterday and we got 7 eggs! Waiting for the call to see how many embryos we have. Hoping to have a blasty transfer on Mon all being well.
