How do I feel? Well a bit useless I cant do more really...I am also scared if my body dosnt want to grow this wee emby, I think I will feel let down by it I guess. As Ive never had fetility issues, I think it will hit me hard if cycle fails etc...but never mind, we have a plan C and I will keep trying as long as she wants too.
I so desperatly want this to work, there is nothing more amazing then handing over a baby to somone who has given everything to have one..
(I gave up a baby for adoption when I was younger as well, so this is where me wanting to be a surro stemmed from. I see how much this hurts and want to help as much as I can to all you deserving parents )

I do have a blog if you want to know more about me and my adoption and surrogacy journeys (surro in oz - Blogger)

Im sure I will have plenty of questains to come! I dont understand alot about it all, just go where Im told, lol!

thank you for being so accepting of me
Once the embie has been transferred its all up to nature! Try not to feel the failure if it doesn't work this time, there's always another transfer the month after.... How many frozen do you have? What would plan C be if this doesn't work as planned? I find surrogacy interesting but hate when people find out we are doing IVF & ask "why don't you just adopt or do surrogacy" I would like to give myself every chance I have to carry my own baby first

Sorry to hear about your cancelled cycles Strawbs and Marttc.

Sophie - Welcome! Given what you are doing for your friend you definitely fit in perfectly here. It's probably only women with fertility issues who truly understand how special you are

AFM - US Monday and natural FET next Monday after that. But I've had AF now for 7 days and still quite heavy. Anyone had anything like this when previous AF has been no longer than 4 days? I'm on no meds at all but I am on supplements. Hopefully my uterus is doing a late spring clean to start fresh in 2013!

Yes agree about Sophie & I bet when you tell people about what you are doing you, you get equally as stupid comments like we do... "Just go on a holiday" "relax" "just don't think about it, it will happen" blah blah.... Gets really annoying!!

Kheeki - I found during cycles with any hormone drugs my body cod do weird things, even sometimes after being in drugs - I assumed my body was just messy but to be honest the longest period I had was after my miscarriage... I really just log all this stuff & ask my specialist when I see her

MARTTC, absolutely, everyone should have a chance to have their own bub . They also make it sound like its just so easy to adopt or surrogacy, everything is such a long road . Best wishes to you in your journey

this was our last FE..number 9! The rest of. The rest of the batch didn't even make transfer sadly...plan c is a new doner and a fresh cycle. My IM has battled infertility for 15 years so this is really her last hope. I am learning fast!

Good luck for your ultrasound on Monday Kheeki, I'm surprised they are doing it on a public holiday. I hope AF has left and you have a prefect fresh lining for you FET

Sopie- it's great that you have other options if this cycle fails, I really hope you don't have to use them. You are such a special person xx

Marttc how did you go with your trigger? I ended up triggering Tuesday night. I am not a fan of Crinone, it is possibly the most evil medication I have taken. I feel so tired and depressed, have constant cramps and I can't stop eating, I'll be 5kg heavier at the end of my tww the way I am going!

Thanks Strawbs. AF is still here so US will be interesting. Be very surprised if there's much of a lining. My clinic seems to open every day regardless of holidays. Hopefully I'll be in the TWW with you. No Crinone for me though but I find the depressive days are just as many even without it. Have you fallen pregnant naturally before?

WOW - you must feel the highs & lows too... They can really suck, I stay true to myself & feel what I need to at the time /day & then I try move on... It's hard but we are all here for the same reason & for me I try to think 'eyes on the prize'
Your friend could never express in words what you are putting yourself through for her!

Good luck ladies! It is a lot of pressure for both of you to DTD four nights in a row. I don't think my DH would be able to do that. Yes, the progesterone! I don't miss that at all! But hopefully it will be worth it.
