    Hmmm maybe I'm completely wrong. I just calculated it and it said 41 but I always thought 0x anything was 0 I'm so confused lol

    You do the multiplication first bonks so :
    40 + (40x0) + 1 =
    40 + 0 + 1 = 41

    Yep 41 because of the order of operations- multiplication first, so
    40x0=0
    Then work from left to right, so 40+0+1=41

    1. Brackets (B)
    2. Orders: Exponents and roots (O)
    3. Multiplication or division (DM)
    4. Addition or subtraction (AS)

    So the answer is 41 in this case
