Yes.... Many farms that sell eggs also have roosters. It's not impossible is all I'm saying, ESP if you buy free range, farm fresh.

Yep :-) chickens tend to lay better when there is a rooster around, so quite often roosters are put in with the hens.
Oh, and the blood spots you occasionally find in eggs isn't because it's fertilised :-)

I've cracked an egg with a discernable looking chicken embryo in it

Also, Champagne not only refers to the region but the process by which the grapes are turned into champagne. To be champagne, it must be from Champagne AND have been made a certain way!

I recently learnt that during the French Revolution there was a period where those that were trying to lead the country wanted to get rid of the 7 day week and replace it with a 10 day week and each month would be 3 weeks long. As part of dismantling the Catholic Church they wanted to renumber the years starting from 1 from the beginning of the Revolution and created a new god, "The Goddess of Reason". Wow!

I read it as the blood spots *doesn't* mean it's fertilised.

That would be so confusing!!!!! We'd have 17 hour days.... It would be dark at 3pm after a few weeks. Mind boggles.
