i haven't had a proper 'cycle' as such since having bub. I think 4 'periods' from memory.
I have done 9 tests, all have the line. I got my SIL to do one, no line. I dipped one in water, no line, did that to make sure they weren't evap lines.
All 20 of the tests say they're pregnancy tests not ovulation tests.
And SEVERAL things I have read have all said that because breast feeding can cause your ovulation to not be regular, your chances of falling pregnant during, or immediately after your period are greatly increased.

It's definitely possible! If you can wait another week, maybe a blood test. In a week, a FRER or digital might also be more accurate.

I do believe that babies come when they are ready... if you are UTD this baby is meant to be here with you.

    Default Pregnant on your period?

I'm sorry that just isn't true re more likely to get pregnant with period when breast feeding.

Its possible that it wasn't a period - a period follows ovulation - but a breakthrough bleed which can happen when breast feedin if prolactin levels dip for some reason, which would mean you hadnt ovulated beforehand.

I think what you are thinking of is that breast feedin causes irregular cycles, ths is because prolactin inhibits ovulation. So it's possible for there to be no regular cycle, no ovulation or very long and irregular cycles. That's different to thinking thst breast feeding makes you more likely to ovulate when menstruating.

If you did get pregnant, then your dh's sperm must have survived for a super long period of time ie a week or so and maybe you had an early ovulation.

Maybe you were already pregnant and it wasn't a period but implantation bleeding

I did not say that breastfeeding causes you to ovulate while menstruating. I said breast feeding causes ovulation not to be regular... pretty much echoing your comment of causing an irregular cycle. therefore, it's quiet possible to ovulate very early on in your cycle, or even while menstruating.
I also state in my op that my husband is only home for 4 days a fortnight, there is no way I could of been pregnant prior... we always use protection, I just thought because i had af i was safe last time.
My digital test came back with a positive result this morning. So it is very very real that this can happen.
I never imagined that it was possible and am a little flawed atm....

    Default Pregnant on your period?

The drs believed I did with dd. it's hard to know for sure but I can't to this day work out how I did otherwise. Chances are slim but still possible.

    Default Pregnant on your period?

Sorry to labour the point - your period comes after ovulation. Breastfeeding causes irregular ovulation but that doesn't mean at all that yiu can ovulate when yiu have a period, yiu can't ovulate and conceive during a period because of the way that hormones work - the hormones that trigger ovulation and the hormones that follow ovulaton cant be effective both ag the same time. It is possible your husband has super sperm though and that the sperm survived long enough until ovulation.
    Congratulations on your pregnancy :-)
