    Default Pregnant on your period?

So I'm just wondering if anyone has ever gotten pregnant on their period? I have a 10 month old and am still breastfeeding about 4-5 times a day. My husband works away, and is only home 4 days a fortnight. Last time he was home it was that time of the month for me, but we dtd unprotected because I never in a million years thought you could get pregnant while on your period.

Monday I was at swimming and got a wave of nausea wash over me. I bought 2 tests and did both straight away. Both negative. On Friday my ebay tests arrived and 5 of them gave me a very very faint positive. This morning I did a first response and a digital that both were negative, but 3 more ebay ones which all come up with a faint positive line. I dipped another test in water to make sure it wasn't an evap line or anything like that, and that test didn't have a second line, also got my sil to do one as well, which didn't have a second line.

So, lets run through some dates... AF arrived the 22nd of August, we did the deed either 23rd or 24th (i can't remember) AF finished on the 27th.
Could there be anything else having an effect on my HCG levels? would breast feeding have any sort of impact on the test???

Pretty sure you wouldn't be pregnant. I wouldn't be buying those eBay tests!

I would have thought it would be hard to as where would implantation occur?

from what i've read, its more common for women breast feeding to fall pregnant on their period because of the screwed up ovulation due to feeding...

why wouldn't you buy the ebay ones?? they've given me positives 7dpo twice now, long before the other ones picked anything up!

Pregnancy can happen at any time during a woman's cycle. Not everyone ovulates mid cycle. So yes I think that you could very well be UTD!

Also I bought cheap eBay tests and they worked better then FRER or any other brand you buy at the pharmacy.

I'll wait another fortnight and head into the doctor I think.
I am going to sound so frigen dumb here, but I never ever ever thought in a zillion years you could get pregnant while it was that time of the month....

It would be incredibly unlikely. Are you sure they aren't ovulation tests. Ovulation hormones can cause nausea .

Otherwise I would say its a evaporation line on the tests.

You aren't more likely to get pregnant when you have your period when you are breastfeeding.

Its possible of course that it wasn't a period but just some breakthrough bleeding so might not have given a true indication of your cycle.
