wow didn't realise in other states that a health care card entitled you to a discount on your rego. that would have been very handy when we were struggling on minimum wage

Default Urgent please: Rego money question!

It's only for pension cards, not earth are cards. So because I'm on the PPS, I am entitled to it. Maybe they aren't aware that I'm on it, cause it says nothing about a discounted pensioner rate. Cool, thanks for your help everyone. I'll go in next week and see what I can do!
I have my Rego, $100 phone bill, $680 2 week rent in advance (moving out on the weekend) all due this week coming! As well as needing to stock up on food and such!

You don't automatically receive the discount. You have to apply for it through Department of transport.

I'm In SA and I don't think we get a discount if we hve a health care card! We have the option to pay 3 or 12 months rego. I always just pay 3 month and it costs me about $160.

I'm in NSW and with a pension card it is free.... The first time I did it I saw that there was a discount and I thought it probably won't be much...but it's completly free.I burst into tears :P
Such a relief when struggling to cover bills and expenses.

You still have to pay the greenslip though whereas in QLD rego and ctp is combined together and you just get a discount off the total price. Worked out to cost about the same in both states for me.
