When your kids first go to school, how do you feel? I found it hard with the first 2 boys but dd1 is due to go to grade one next year (homeschooling her for prep) and I am sometimes paralyzed by fear. She just looks like a little me and I would die if she went through the things i did . I have to remember she isn't me and she is alot more
Confident than I ever was but gosh it's hard!

I'm generally excited and hopeful for them a little sad that the young years are over but I'm looking forward to this next stage for them

I am excited too, i have a highschooler now which is an exciting new stage. I do feel sad though and yeah, big issues with my daughter. I will never let her know though and will not let it reflect on her.

I cried. Now I don't care. It's nearly the end of her second year of schooling. She's doing fine. It's how life is. I don't think too much about it tbh.

I was so excited for her. She was so ready. I loved the school and still do. She's so happy there and has made so many friends. DD2 I'll probably feel more conflicted about as she's my fragile one.

I take my hat off to you homeschooling a prep. It was a choice for us for DD1 but I could never have done it with 2 others in the house.

We'll be homeschooling so I get to avoid this to some degree

I was very excited when DD went to preschool this year (as was she). I honestly didn't think about all the social things like how she'd go making friends. She really struggled for the first month and I felt gutted. I almost pulled her out as she's a March baby so was just shy of 4. But things got better and she is absolutely fine now.

She starts school next year and I am feeling a bit nervous. However I'm hoping that we're both now a little more experienced and prepared for it!

Very worried he'll be bullied. I try not to let him sense my terror at the idea of prep starting though.
