    Default RANT! Clean house?

I can't relax if my own house isn't tidy and clean either, it usually only takes me 20 to do a quick final tidy up ether while the kids are eating dinner or just before I take them to the shower. I generally clean as I go during the day. Luffs my enjo makes it so much easier

Just wasn't sure, didn't want you to have the wrong idea or something, but I was pretty sure you knew it was coz of DF sleeping after night shift.

I know what it's like it would of been a good set up with this chick, her hubby and DF worked the same roster but had flipped shifts so she would always come over when her hubby was sleeping but we could never go to hers when DF was sleeping. You know your always welcome here when B is asleep, I like the company

    Default Re: RANT! Clean house?

I need things clean. I get over stimulated by too much "stuff" and overwhelmed if there's too much that needs doing. Like I keep mentally going over what I need to do so it exhausts me if I can't do it (due to baby/jasper)

But I don't care/notice other peoples houses. I suppose either "extreme" is a bit uncomfortable. Either where you dont want you kids to touch anything because of how clean it is, or don't want your kids to touch anything because of how messy it is!!!!! Though actually I've only seen the "extremes" in homes of people who don't have kids.

*edit* that's not to say my house is that clean. I just try to get it as clean as I can when I have the opportunity. I also don't care if other people come over and mess up the toys etc.

    Default RANT! Clean house?

I have DS6, DS4 and DS2 . My house is always tidy, the boys have a toy room which is central to all their bedrooms this is the only room I allow to stay messy all day but they need to clean it at the end of the day.
If mess makes it's way into ant other area of the house I swiftly tell them to back out and go back into their toy room.
I can't stand a messy house but having 3 boys I allow their space were they can run rampant and I don't worry 

    Default RANT! Clean house?

I wish my house could be criticized for being tidy! I get overwhelmed very easily and have always been a little on the lazy side. It's embarrassing!

I walked into someone house the other day and just about vomited, you couldn't see the floor, benches etc, it stunk, dirty dishes everywhere piled up for what looks like months. She said she just buys new cutlery and laughed and said at least she spends time with her family. There was also a dead rat covered in cockroaches in the middle of the sticky kitchen. Umm BARF!!

There's a difference between absolute filth/laziness, and a little mess. I'm sure every house can get a little messy every now and again, it's when it turns into a tip and then they try and say all the excuses you listed.

But then hey they are the ones living in it haha!!
oh gross! lol. that's just disgusting. a rat in the kitchen with cockies?! *shudders*..

Filth is unacceptable. Mess is a little different. I think it's ok to have toys everywhere or a few dirty dishes in the sink from last meal but a dead rat in the floor and cockies. Yuk
