    Default RANT! Clean house?

I am so sick of people always saying 'a messy house is a happy house', 'a clean house isn't lived in', 'clean houses make for bad immune systems' or something along those lines.

I've had people whine about how clean my house is. I'm sorry that I don't like to live in filth and that I know how to tidy up one thing before moving on to the next activity... It's not that hard! I'm not one of those people that walk around disinfecting everything you touch, but I will almost always have a very clean house. I pay for the house, aswell as all of the belongings in it, so why shouldn't I take pride in it? I'm happy, my DF if happy and my DD is happy and we're never sick, so obviously I'm doing something right.

Stop trying to justify your messy house by putting my house down!

Lol. I agree. It's really awkward 'cause I'm such a neat/clean freak, but my housemate owns his house and likes it clean, but then all his mates come over and trash it again and I kind of wanna bottle them.
And they use the excuse that they're "having fun". I was always raised to help clean up the mess after a party and shiz.

My house is super clean and I've never heard any of those comments from anyone that's come over. If anything they always tell me how beautiful my home looks ..

    Default RANT! Clean house?

I've had those comments before. Someone even commented once how clean my party floor was (on a photo) and I was like "erm it's a pantry? Not hard to keep clean..."

    Default RANT! Clean house?

I've had a few comments, mostly about how there are no kids toys laying around and asking if we actually let them play. We live in a massive house and they have a toy room so they have their toys in there or take them outside.

Or comments about not needing to keep the place clean all the time because I'm pregnant and running around after two 3 year olds. I hate a messy house and I don't have to do it all on my own, DF is a clean freak so I get plenty of help.

    Default RANT! Clean house?

I have a friend who ranted something similar to me once. Now she has a few more children and has since joined the 'messy house = happy house' movement
