    Hi Girls,

Wow, so much to catch up on. Hope you are all going really well.
I have only just read snippets and caught a glimpse of new cycling, Capetown, expensive drugs and on it goes. Can only hope that 2013 is THE year. Fingers crossed for everyone.

AFM.... Well, I only have one 3 day frosty left and given it was donor eggs, and for other reasons, we have decided to leave it where it is for now as we are exploring another option.
I am now the queen of popping pills, drinking what I am sure must be poop (yuk!!), and doing the lovely task of getting my body in balance. After that, well lets just see!

Micca- sorry to repond so late (I'm just back from a holiday)
(((HUGS))) sorry to hear about the cycle result.
BFN I always think of it as BIG FAT NEGATIVE but lately more a BIG F'ing NEGATIVE... if you know what I mean.

    xoxox
    Thinking of you.

AFM: Literally arrived back home about midnight last night. Plan to arrive 'surprise' style to the clinic tomorrow.
    Problem being twofold:
    1) my FS has moved and as yet I don't have a referral to the other FS. (Will organise that tomorrow)
    2) I am already on day 13... hope I haven't ovulated or this FET cycle is busted already!

    Oh well...

EDIT... FET January cycle cancelled. Already ovulated.

Hi girls, sorry haven't been around as much as after yet another failed cycle have buried my head in the sand but now back again to try again. Trying another FS and we are going to use saizen and luveris and higher dose of FSH. Have been on DHEA and melatonin.

Does anyone have any knowledge about menopur instead of the FSH/luveris combination which one is better?
Also has anyone had a lipoidal flush as also thinking about doing this?

Good luck everyone this year. Hoping for a more successful year for us all.

    Hi

I've been a lurker for a while, and have decided that it's time to come out. A bit about me: DH (44) and I (41 at Christmas) have been trying for #2 for about a year now, but nothing. After about 3 months of serious trying, I started getting tested, all the tests came back clear, except that I have polycystic ovaries (not the syndrome though). We got an FS referral, and moved to IVF when nothing happened after 6 months. I did 1 antagonist cycle last year, with a fresh transfer but BFN after AF came early. It was during that cycle that we found that DH had some problems (low count, morph, motility etc) We had 2 frosties from that cycle. Then the planned FET for the next month was cancelled when I still hadn't O'd after day 22. Then I elected to do another antagonist cycle with the aim of banking a few embies - we got 4 frosties out of that cycle, no transfer though. Then we had a holiday, but we missed the clinic cut off before Xmas, so now a new cycle has started, and we are trying for a natural FET. We have a 2 year old (conceived the old fashioned way, born when I was 38), but I guess we just got lucky back then.

Kenta, Fortitude and Micca, I was sorry to hear about your BFN's. Hope that this year brings BFPs.

Anxious, good luck for your upcoming US.

DJ, hope your popping and drinking leads to the new options working out.

    Hi to everyone else.

Currently, I'm wrestling with the question of doing another stim cycle or not: I'm thinking that if there is no BFP by March, maybe I should try another one and see if I can bank some more embies. I'm concerned that if I wait for too long, I won't get results anywhere near as good as my last cycles.

SpringRain, has your FS recommended any tests for immune system issues, chromosomal issues, thyroid issues etc?

I understand that they can be a barrier to implantation being successful. Also, if there is a chromosomal issue found they can test your embryos for it so they can find the best ones to transfer for more chance of a successful result.

I'm doing this testing at the moment after my first antagonist cycle with a 5dt of a good looking embryo gave me a BFN and they have some found some issues with me, so my meds are being tweaked accordingly for the next cycle. I've also moved from doing antagonist to a long down regulation cycle as the FS thinks that will get a better response. I'm still learning though and so I don't quite understand why that is!

hi all. I spent a weekend away visiting friends and family in Bowral and Wollongong. We got back to Sydney in time for this heat wave.... Sweltering! Hope everyone has kept cool and ok out there. My appointment with my specialist was postponed until tomorrow. I will give all an update once i have done this. I am now trying to make an effort to get back into my supplements on a fulltime basis. I took a break around xmas time so its time to get back in the old regime!

    Hi SpringRain

Thanks for sharing your challenges. What were the results of your antagonist cycle? Did you get to Pupo or have any frosties? what dose were you on?
If you look back to a post by Micca (a few entries back) she goes through the different options: antagonist, agonist/antagonist, down reg. I think it might be worth considering a downreg cycle. If you look at my page (search for wanabemum) Micca has kindly put her supplement regime on there. This can be tailored to meet your personal health needs.

My husband also has the same challenges as yours. He takes fish oil, cq10, and would you believe walnuts which have shown to improve sperm as well as a good quality male multi.

If there is anything else I can think of I will let you know.
    Welcome!

Welcome SpringRain, sounds like you've come to the right place!

Wannabe I've been watching the news, you guys on the East Coast have had a hammering with the heat fires etc.

    Wave to everyone else!

AFM - a big F'en let down! The 3 follies decided to go on strike, so only 1 ready to go. I have opted to can IVF and do an IUI instead, sooooo peeeeeeved! Trigger tonight for fake sex Friday at 10.45...have I mentioned how pppppppD I am, grrrrrr. DH said lets do it, x our fingers, focus on other things, and if fails, maybe it's time to move on and enjoy the little girl we have. First time he has mentioned the get out clause, usually it's me that makes those decision. I think he is right in saying it, but now I really feel heavy hearted...dribbling all that, as they say, it's not over until the fat lady sings.
