I kinda thought the high dose of Progynova would keep my period at bay...I double checked this with FN yesterday. And the high dose of combination est/prog pessaries and the added prog pessary would just add to the effects of the Progynova.

I have had such a relaxing day but feel exhausted....had a huge sleep this afternoon for a couple of hours....tossed and turned most of the night. In fact, I find the Prednisolone monster is not only a very hungry beast, he is also a very restless one too!!

The plan tomorrow morning is to POAS and then I am going to the Christmas Craft fair with a very dear friend....she is affectionately known as 'fairy godmother'...she has been there from the very beginning of my IVF journey and has been to a couple of my procedures and transfers when DP has been away at work. So either way the POAS goes tomorrow...I am in safe hands! Although, she does like retail therapy as much as I do....so maybe it will be dangerous letting us loose!!

Sunny...Wow, that is amazing. I can't imagine what that would be like. To pay all that and not get all the eggs...thats tough. A friend of mine has 3 DD's, all ivf kids. The first a re twins and the girls are now 11, the next DD is 8. Her friend that she grew up with had always wanted to be a donor so we were lucky to get her within 2 days! The great thing is that she is so open minded about reproduction, parenting and in particular birthing. She was studying midwifery and very supportive of a womans choice to have control over her own body. Hence, her home birthing of her own 3 children. I felt so grateful for her gift. DP did so well, fertilising the eggs etc and I let the team down with a 12w mc and a blighted ovum. I wore heaps of guilt for that for a while. Now I know better. Hormones, grief and finances. ITS A REAL BUMMER.

Beetle....Good on you girl. It is great that you have joined the forum. How long did it take for you to get a sperm donor? How does that process work? Did you know the person? Do they store the sperm so you can use it on eggs later on?

AFM... Well, it has been a week today since FET and I feel zip, diddly-squat, nothing. Come on body...do something!!!!!

    Default IVF over 40 #5

DJ.....I had no issue with getting donor sperm. I used anonymous donor provided by my clinic. They had a list of about 30 to choose from, found 3 I was happy with and was able to get my first choice. I didn't reserve any for future use, at time thought I would be content with 1 bub. When decided wanted to try for no. 2 I contacted clinic to see if my donor still available, was told there was heaps available! So no issue getting same donor. So now I just need to grow some good quality eggs!
