Anxious... great to have one of the old timers back.... lets hope your journey to #2 is a lot easier than mine... I think we will be very close to cycling together as my AF is due around nov 30th...

    Bareness..
. welcome to this group... lets hope that the kitchen sink works.. Im a great fan of the throw everything in the mix...

    MGC,
,, welcome to this group... now that you are going to use donor sperm you will find that you get pregnant very quickly...lets hope that it is only 1 cycle for you.

Im chillin quietly.. had a wine last night and really enjoyed it.. having another this afternoon... monday sees me back on the wagon of health and exercise. Managed a nice walk today... gearing up to start the pill when AF arrives. Im also going to have a nice low carb high protein diet...which is supposed to help with egg quality.

Micca- I am sure you already know this... but CSIRO diet is low carb high protein. Might provide some recipe ideas for you.

Welcome to all the new and 'old' ladies (LOL)
I look forward to getting to know all the new ladies better.
And I look forward to getting BFP with the old ones too.

    xoxo

Anxious...Hi there. I too am on the east! I am in the Hunter Valley NSW.
My Frostie was thawed this morning. It was a 3d freeze with 6 cells and went back to a 4 once thawed but they expect it to be changing etc overnight and said it looked good to implant. We are in at 9.15 in the morning and today I have come down with a bloody flu and hideous cough. Too late to put anything on hold now!
Micca and Fort....I hope you are all well and feeling ok. How good would it be to all actually meet? Wow...imagine that!!!! It would be like all the old hens in the barn coming out to try and roost!
DH is coking, I am on the lounge. My mum has been nagging for us to go over and visit but not tonight!!!
Will let you all know how it goes.

Fort and Micca, I'm sorry to hear about your news. I'm amazed by your resilience and positivity which gives me inspiration.

I've been in a dilemma of deciding between doing a frozen transfer (our only one) and doing a cycle with a new FS who we saw last week who is prepared to use everything but will have to have a hysteroscopy and lipoidal flush and start DHEA which takes time to work I thought. I'm paralysed with indecision but know AF will start next week but then after a failed cycle I never can get it right.

    Hi everyone
Anxious, I'm curious as to why your cousin would offer to donate to you but then not want to donate to WA where you are? Are they wanting an open donation where they'll have contact? Wonderful if they do. Good luck with your healthy living.
Fort, hope you are feeling a little better today. Did you get my card?
Bareness, nice to see you out and about. Good luck with the kitchen sink protocol!
Bertie, I have no advice as I've tried so many things that didn't work. I don't think there's one answer that fits everyone.
Em, good luck with your new FS. I had a naturopath tell me not to take Maca and then read somewhere that it can increase your progesterone. I assumed that was why he told me not to take it. I've heard it is good for fertility so it might be one of those supplements like Evening Primrose oil where you need to take it at the right time of your cycle.
Micca, all wine is good after a failed cycle
Tens, hope all is well with you

AFM - I have been contacting some interstate clinics with a view to joining their donor embryo lists. I emailed 4, 2 have answered in a discouraging fashion. One thinks Perth is too far to travel from to Qld and that our testing is not up to standard. The other has a $500 joining fee and states that many couples don't want to donate to singles (so obviously doesn't encourage them to). I've taken the plunge and given up my cherished sperm donor and joined the embryo list at my clinic. The donor co-ordinator was happy about that! I can keep my place on the sperm list so if I get the funds to do a donor egg cycle and a donor in Perth, I can get another sperm donor by the time the 3 month cooling off period runs out. I'm pretty happy about that. At least if I don't get a known donor privately, I have a definite donation to look towards in 18 months.

    Hi all,

thanks for the info on Maca Net - I think I might just give it a miss. Too many conflicting reports. My DH swears it gets him in the mood so I might just let him continue taking it

DJSHEARS - good to hear you had your transfer - fingers crossed for the TWW.

Kenta - that's a big decision - I've read of a few women banking their embies and continuing to stim who are 40+ - it kind of makes sense if you can handle it. Although with all the other stuff on top of that it would make me think twice too.

    Em x

DJ... woohoo PUPO... now grow little embie grow.. we need a BFP on this thread !!!!

    emski.
.. not long until you start now... lets hope that this is your cycle

Kenta... when I started at 41 my goal was to do cycles until I got pregnant and stockpile any embies that I could. The main reason was that if I got pregnant then the frozen embies would be a sibling for the baby as I would be a lot older trying for number 2.
So here I am at that place... 44ys and trying for a sibling. The main reason I am doing fresh is because I ahve some of the same Donor sperm as I used for DD so I would like a matched sibling. But when that runs out I have 3 frosties from when I was 41 that I will use (they are a different donor sperm).

well my weekend of gastromic gluttony has finished... at least I burned some kilojoules off mowing my very large lawns..lol... planning to go onto my high protein low carb diet. not a hard thing for me as I dont really eat rice or pasta. And normally dont eat bread.. so here we go...although I might have a few slips with sweet items..lol..
CD 1 today so we are back on the train again..starting ocp weds and looking to start lucrin around nov 21.... so in 3 weeks it will be game on !!!! no long at all.

net.. good luck with your searches... have you looked at the SMC web site??

Thanks girls...I am laying on the lounge (again!) whilst those lovely pessaries melt! Gotta love that waxy feeling! Mt FS has me on 2 morning and night so it gets messy!
Any thoughts on cells? 3 day freeze with 6 cells, thawed with 4 and overnight only went to 5 and was implanted. I thought they had to double or at least should be even numbered? I guess I wanted more cells....

    Fort and Micca (((HUGS)))

DJ good luck it is about time someone got a positive sticky result. Your egg thawed well and I guess the fact that the cells did increase overnight was a good sign, if it didn't increase would be a concern.
