Default Alcohol/Bar at a school Fete? WDYT?

Only inappropriate if you give it to your toddler!

    I think its fine.
We are adults.. we are mostly capable of staying in control.

I love a glass of wine when socialising, it makes me relax and I enjoy it.

I am not a raging drunk.. haha.

I think its a little nanny state to ban alcohol.

I dislike it. I don't think it's appropriate to drink around children, especially when you're in the care of children and in a public place, around people you don't know.

I think 2 drinks at a friend's BBQ, is different to 2 drinks at a school fete. No idea why, specifically, I just would never do the latter, but would maybe consider hte former (though I don't drink when I'm caring for DD, so I probably wouldn't... but I wouldn't judge others for it).

I'm another that can't understand why every event or pass time has to have alcohol involved? there are another 22 hours in that day to drink, and another 364 days in the year as well.

and I know not everyone abuses alcohol, I guess I just see it as unnecessary at a school function....

I prefer to normalize alcohol, so that when my kids are teenagers they don't think of it as an exotic and naughty substance that they can sneak out of the house and drink by the gallon with their friends at parties.
