    Default Bloating

    Hi there,

I'm currently just over 10 weeks pregnant and this is my first. I started to feel bloated at week 5. Is this normal?

Recently I would eat a small meal but after every meal, I become so bloated that I feel as if I'm on the verge of exploding. My skin near my stomach area becomes so stretched that I feel very uncomfortable and in the end, I end up throwing everything up. I get hungry again and the process repeats.

    Can someone help me out?

    Default Bloating

I wish I could offer help but not sure if I can.
I had bad bloating too. Even before pregnancy I did due to having IBS.
Sorry to hear you are so uncomfortable. Some ideas...
    Peppermint tea (good for digestion)
Fizzy water (sounds crazy but soda water helps you burp so might alleviate some gas)
Are you constipated?? This can make bloating worse and cause the throwing up.... Pear juice might help???
Sorry!! Not much advice... Maybe ask your OB or GP.

    Default Bloating

As far as I has read, pregnancy makes the digestive system slow right down as its taking more nutrients from the food we take in.

Maybe instead of meals just have a handful of something even if it means your grazing a lot. As long as it is healthy and your overall daily amount isn't too much just graze a often as you need to.

I find I'm eating every 30-60min just really small amounts and a lot of dry stuff. I have had no vomiting but get queezy if I don't eat or if I over eat. I'm 9 weeks now and the grazing seems to work for me.

Thanks for your advices.... Unfortunately I do have constipation and I also pass lot of blood whenever I have bowel motion. I read an article that pregnancy may cause hemorrhoids and I suspect that I've got that

Yes delightful haemorrhoids can do that.
Honestly I think you need to talk to OB and ask for some help! But maybe try pear juice or something to help alleviate the constipation and you might find that helps. I was so bloated early in my pregnancy I so didn't want to eat!!!

    Default Re: Bloating

I was having the worst bloating to the point of painful. I started taking de-gas after meals and really helped. I think for some people it makes them pass wind but I never had that problem.

Yup bad bloating here too. I can only eat small meals throughout the day, any large meals and they come back to say hello!

Really really bad wind too, so much so it hurts...
