Default If you have a cleaner...

How often do they come to your home and for how long? What do they accomplish in this time frame?

I'm thinking of hiring one for our home once a week but I'm not sure if 2 hours would be enough or if I should go 3.

Just curious to hear others experiences

    Thanks!

Subscribing, I'm interested too! What exactly do they do as well? Like clean surfaces? I'm a bit dumb on this subject lol

2 hours isn't long unless you have a really small house.
They usually do all the basic stuff unless you request something specific.
    I'd do 3 hours a week or maybe 4 a fortnight?
We do it differently and have them come every 6 weeks. 3 of them spend 5 hours here.
They do a complete spring clean and even steam clean our rugs in the lounge room.

Our best cleaner just came in, vacuumed, cleaned the bathrooms, mopped the kitchen and bathrooms, dust the surfaces. Once a month he cleaned the windows (balcony windows inside and out) and if we ever needed anything specific like the bbq cleaned we'd just ask.

We lived in a small apartment complex and he was the cleaner for the building (entry, stairs, etc) so he just charged us $20 ($30 for when we had additional things) and was probably only there for 45 minutes. Which was ideal for us because we didn't want a cleaner who did anything else and don't like people in our home.

Though we had to have the house totally tidy beforehand. If there were things on surfaces he wouldn't touch it (which absolutely suits us)

Thanks everyone! We live in a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom town house (upstairs/downstairs). I think I'm really looking for someone to take care of the upstairs for me - mop, vac and clean 2 bathrooms as I seem to manage downstairs but by the time I'm done with that, I'm worn out haha. I might see if I can locate a cleaner in my area and get some quotes.

My cleaner comes for two hours once a fortnight, which is plenty for 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and open plan living/kitchen/dining. She does all the basics - vacuuming, mopping, dusting bathroom, kitchen benches. If I ask her to do something specific like windows or the venetian blinds then she will, although only if she has time.

My last cleaner who sadly quit to do something else used to do HEAPS in the two hours - I would come home to the backyard tidied, washing on the line etc. I think she was unusual though.
