Very excited to be adding myself to the "Waiting for AF" section! Had our follow-up from my Lap & Hyst yesterday where I was given pics of my insides and shown where my endo was lasered off, then we went in with FN for ages, who went through heaps of info with us and gave us our consent forms. We'll be signing those next week after we've had our second counselling appt. We also brought home nine American sperm donor profiles to choose our top 2 or 3 from (so we have a couple of back-ups in case our top choice isn't available). And I should be free to start next time AF shows up, which will hopefully be in the next 2 weeks. Very excited to get started again. FN told me that based on my age I'll have a 40 - 50% success rate.. I don't want to get ahead of myself but the prospect of possibly getting my first ever BFP in less than two months is really thrilling.

Sorry for the "me" post, but I've gotta dash; my brother's been in town all week until tomorrow, so we've been doing stuff with him.

We have a healthy 4 year old boy, before him I had 2 m/cs and after him 4 so this year we decided to investigate and found out that I'm a carried for Robertsonian balanced translocation 14/21. It was basically a miracle that I have my son.

So we turned to Ivf to increase our chances.

Egg pickup was last Friday and there were 11 eggs. Of them 9 fertilized and 7 were biopsied.

I had my transfer on Wednesday. Did pre and post accupuncture . Out of the 7 that were biopsied we only got 1 good one. The doc was really happy with the results and said its good news, so hubby and I were excited. Then he shows us a sheet and says out of the 7 there's one good one!! Huh???? I broke down! No backup. So know just have to wait it out and try and be positive. I'm sad, but I've done all I can do for now.
Is there anything I should/ shouldn't do in the 2ww?????

    Hi Eleash

I found the 2ww hard as well, but here are a few tips, have your nails done, go to the movies with a friend or two, talk to your DH about your feelings esp if you are having up and down moods, be really kind to yourself and try to keep yourself occupied.

I hope your 1 embie is really strong and that you get your BFP in a couple of weeks.

Oh and if you do break and POAS make sure you don't do it too early!!
