Does anyone else seem to put on weight during IVF? I hven't been binge eating or craving anything. Having the normal 2-3 meals a day, nothing excessive. Physical activity same as before. Got on the scales last night and im 3 kgs heavier!

Hey ladies - hm from pick up, only got 6 eggs ....a lil disappointing but I know it gives no indication of quality so fingers crossed we have good fertilisation rates and strong ones

Must say it was all go in the docs today - shipping ladies in and out constantly!

To the lady above re weight gain (sorry on cell and can't go bk to get ur name) yes my first cycle I put on weight but perhaps because of my follicles - I had 20 +! A week or so on I still weighed an extra 1kg( i put on 2kgs) This time rnd I cut bk the exercise earlier than previously and think this helped surprisingly - I was also on a Lower dose of gonal too thou!

Gaining weight is very common in IVF. I never have (touch wood), but I hear a LOT of women complaining about it, so you're definitely not alone.

    Hey chances

I think I may be the same if I'm lucky enough to get to EPU stage. I have off- the-chart low AMH levels (less than 1) :-(

BUT, as you said, quality is inifinitely more important than quantity, so it ain't over till it's over, huh? *gives your eggs a pep talk*

Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Hi all - I haven't been here for ages! I hope everyone is doing okay.

I am a bit stressed, I am CD9, had my scan today and not much going on yet. Was going to go back on Friday but they've now said come back on Monday but do OPKs over the weekend and call the after hours line if I get a positive. I *know* they do this 1000 times a day, but Monday is CD14 and I often ovulate on 14 or 15. What if they miss it?!

Usually I get a positive OPK and ovulate 12 hours-ish later, but most OPKs say 24-36 hours later.

Now I'm going to be stressed all weekend

Hopefully it all goes okay though!!

Had my transfer today, once again only 1 was up to scratch out of 13.
3 are still in the running for freezing but like always there is no guarantee.

Welcome to all the newbies & good luck to us all

My amh was 1.1 in feb and when they checked again in June it was 3.4. Still crap but better!

Hi ladies, ive been reading along on this thread & bh in general for a while now. My husband and I have been on the ivf rollercoaster since feb this year. After 4 failed cycles, we are trying again.

Had epu this morning and got a whopping 30 hoping for great fert rate as stim cycles take a huge toll on me physically & emotionally (last stim cycle we got 23 eggs).

Our issue is severe mfi.. So we use icsi.

Must say that you all have kept me going. No one truly knows how tough this journey is until you got through it yourself.

Good luck to all of us.
